Takes a licking and keeps on ticking!

I was so pleased to be able to purchase this edition on the classic LCA from Timex. I have in fact got this watch already however the glass had cracked and with the surrounding info in printed on the glass it was impossible for me to replace. Therefore I decided to invest in this new one and it brought back a lot of great memories of having this watch before. For anyone who is into films this is the one worn by Roy Scheider in the movie Blue Thunder. Works well and once i had reset the time for my time zone and date/day it was all set. I notice that it does not have the blue colour around the edge as my old one did but none the less its perfect.

I did not buy from Amazon. Vendor left out the Instruction Manual - but it is available online. Couldn't believe this didn't have indiglo for the money... 'vintage homage' or not... Otherwise I like it. I feel like my grandpa..

I almost never post negative reviews. I recognize that everyone’s experience with a product is different, as perhaps mine was. This time it’s different regarding this watch. First, let me say this is a lovely watch. Among almost all digital watches, this is almost the only one that mimics a “tank” configuration—longer vertically than horizontally—which I find especially beguiling. But after a week on the wrist I cannot recommend this watch and I returned it. First, it’s hellish to set the time. You set the mode to adjust the seconds … but the minutes and hours keep ticking away! Go to minutes, and the seconds and hours keep on ticking. In other words, nothing freezes so it can be set in sequence, seconds to minutes to hours. You can do it by setting the hours to just before the jump, and then quickly set seconds to zero. Then cross your fingers it works. Another more basic issue is that the chimes and alarms on my watch did not work. Enabling hourly chimes and alarms had no effect, no sounds could be heard. This is a no-starter for a digital watch. And has been noted numerous times, the backlight is worthless. Lastly, the visibility is poor, both of the analog and digital display. It’s simply difficult to tell the time, which after all is what a watch should do. As an homage watch, which Timex excels at, it should have been resurrected in a modern version, with modern setting capabilities, Indiglo lighting and, of course, functioning sounds. I cannot recommend this watch to anyone.

This watch looks great. However, the battery lasted less than a year after I got it. I was really surprised. I don't mind though, I'm happy with it overall.

I ignored some of the other reviews and hoped for the best. But as soon as I opened up the box the watch was in I was very disappointed to see that the bracelet on my new watch was broken.

Overall good throwback watch if you’re looking for every day retro style watch. This could be it. Overall good build nothing fancy, just nice 80s style watch. The light on the watch is not that great but it’s a nice touch. Easy to adjust and setup. I will also rock the other color as well if I get for free. Lol good watch overall. ☝🏼

La pantalla es de estilo retro, el problema es que la luz también; no ilumina ni la mitad de la pantalla, se debe tener en cuenta que la batería es cara y difícil de conseguir

Definitivamente el reloj digital más elegante del mercado, muy bonito y se puede usar con ropa de vestir. Gran modelo retro.

En general un muy buen y bonito reloj. Es el primer reloj Timex que compro y me ha agradado bastante. Es más pequeño de lo que imaginaba pero después de un tiempo me he acostumbrado a verlo así. De entrada no me gustó el hecho de que en la parte trasera tiene calcomanías que te dejan MUUUY claro que toda su fabricación es china. Esto ya sabemos que es así y creo que no es necesario que te pongan calcomanías diciéndolo.... incluso el movimiento es chino al parecer. Llevo una semana usándolo y en general todo perfecto. La luz deja mucho que desear y solo te permitirá ver el lado derecho del reloj, es decir la fecha y no la hora que es lo más importante.
