Great Peanuts!
These peanuts are big, plump and sweet. really nice quality. I've always purchased raw unsalted peanuts from local Ethnic markets and these are by far SUPERIOR in size, freshness and yield. The kernels are so creamy, nutty and have a sweet quality to them. I've been making batches of Cajun Spiced boiled peanuts for friends and family for a few years now and this was by far the best batch I've made. Got rave reviews. Slow boiled peanuts take me about 24hrs to make and these peanuts guarantee the final product will richer in flavor and well worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Huge, fresh, perfect for boiled peanuts
These peanuts are huge and fresh. Many shells have 3-4 nuts. These were perfect for making boiled peanuts in my instant pot. Rinse & drain 1-2.5 lbs bag, then cover shells in pot with water and 3/4 cup salt, put trivet on top to hold under water, pressure cook for 70 min then let set in pot for a few hours... Perfect. I made all three bags over a few days then put them in freezer for easy prep the next time we want boiled peanuts. I would buy again for sure. Huge, fresh nuts, only a few broken open. Nice product worth the money, especially for us in Ohio that don't have fresh peanuts at our markets for sale... But we still want to enjoy those traditions from our Grandma from Savannah.

Just Good Peanuts - Worthy of the Price
Ok, not a big reviewer, but after I just placed my fourth order for these peanuts, I have to say, these are very good peanuts. I live in the south and try peanuts from a variety of sources and this source clearly comes to the top. Delivery is prompt, quality is consistent and taste is so very very good. I am not a boiler, I am a roaster and everyone has their own roasting or boiling tips and everyone is convinced their recipe is the best so I will not attempt to share mine. However, regardless of how you fix them (and you must "fix" them - roast or boil) you will like these.

Great for making boiled peanuts!
Bought this to make boiled peanuts, the kind my dad used to make in Hawaii. Peanuts, star anise, little bit of kosher salt. Nice whole peanuts, few dud (empty) nuts. Need to soak peanuts at least 30 min. then rinse until water runs clear because peanut shells are rather dirty and you wouldn't want to crack the shells between your teeth and taste dirt. Boil 4+ hrs. The aroma reminds me of growing up in Hawaii! Hubby shelled one and said "Wow, That's a huge peanut!" as he popped it in his mouth with a smile. He's easy to please but for him to make a comment about the quality of peanut says a lot. Will definitely buy this again!

Not what I was looking for...but exactly as described
I was really missing boiled peanuts, so I ordered these due to all of the reviews referencing it.I'm assuming these individuals are used to getting road-side stand boiled peanuts, because these do NOT taste like the ones I used to make. My mom referred to road side-stand peanuts as "last year's crop" because they were dark in color and tasted mushy. Nothing against these types of peanuts!BUTIf you're looking for the taste and texture of from "green peanuts" you will not get them from these nuts.Yes, they taste just like the kind from fairs and farmer's markets. Yes, it will take you -hours- to boil them because you're having to rehydrate them -first-.Green peanuts are definitely the best for boiled peanuts and as far as I can tell are only available in the south.'Raw' peanuts are 'last year's crop' that have been dried for easier storage and mobility, which makes sense because green peanuts are way more perishable and won't make the trip out west.If you're looking for the roadside stand taste, look no further! These come tightly packaged in convenient mesh bags. Exactly as advertised without many 'bad nuts.' Just...not what I was looking for.

The best we’ve found!
My father, a retired farmer, is very picky about the quality of his peanuts. He loves to shell good ones fresh as a snack, and does it daily. We gave these a chance, and boy were we glad!Excellent quality, large size, fresh, and always delivered on time. We’ve ordered them several times now, and have never been disappointed. Whenever his supply starts getting low, we make sure to buy the next batch in time for it to arrive before he runs out.Highly recommend!

Good peanuts, no expiration date
The first batch turned out good, but I found that the remaining peanuts were covered in black mold when I went to make the next batch. I assumed that these would last a long time, and there was no expiration date on the bags.

Really good quality.
Born and raised in the south, I grew up enjoying boiled peanuts. I live in New England now and hadn't had them in a few years as they aren't exactly available in evry roadside stand up here. Though green ones are usually best for boiling, I decided to try these as green ones weren't in season yet and I must say, I was very pleasantly surprised. After soaking them for 24 hours with 3 changes of the water. I boiled a bag at a time in a gallon of water with a cup of sea salt in my pressure cooker for about 50 minutes, then poured it all into my slow cooker on low for about a two hours so the peanuts could absorb more of the brine an they were fantastic.Good quality and size and full of good size peanut meats. Yum!
