FolkArt Enamel Glitter and Metallic Glass Paint (2 oz), Metallic Gold I purchased this glass paint to use for my son's and daughter-in-law's wedding. I painted glass and ceramic using this paint. We were on a tight wedding budget, so we repurposed decor we already owned or found at Goodwill. We also purchased items for a lower price and painted them to match the gold wedding decor. We painted candleholders and glass bowl pedestals that I made for the wedding. The paint is beautiful. It is a very pretty gold. It is a thinner texture paint compared to craft paint. It was a good consistency and worked perfectly for glass. It took a few coats to cover the ceramic, which was white, and a glass candleholder, which was also white. On the clear glass bowl pedestals, I used one coat. It finished was a pretty gold sheen on the glass. It turned out very pretty. I could have painted more than one color, as it can be layered. It is easy to paint with and does not flake after it has dried. I used a paintbrush and a foam brush to apply and texture the paint. I painted so many items with 2 bottles of paint. I consider that a great value. I really like this paint. It was easy to paint with and a very pretty color.

While this is a small 2oz tube, I needed very little of it to add a very cool shiny highlight to my project - the color is very true and the closest I've found to leaf paints. I love that for a metallic paint, clean up is on par with other acrylic paints. The only downside, is unlike the non-acrylic leaf paints, it takes several coats to get it to adhere to plastic so price-wise, if your purchase is to work on plastics of any kind, you're going to need 2-3x more of this than the thicker, one coat non acrylic. It's preference though. The clean up is amazing! Washes easily with just soap and water (never been able to do that w/non-acrylics and did NOT expect a metallic to be as easy to clean up) I'd highly recommend this item to anyone looking for an affordable but quality metallic paint or anyone who's working on something very detailed - this paint lets you make slight mistakes and correct them (while the paint is still wet) w/o leaving any stains - I have to add for anyone with children - I normally would not trust a metallic paint any more than oils for use by children(over 10) but, this is a genuine acrylic so not only for fine work by adults but, this is also an item that younger artists could work with, while it's not non-toxic, it doesn't come with the worry of any fumes found in many leaf paints.

I bought these paints in several colors. The gold is more transparent than the others, which cover well in one coat. But it dries beaufiully and the glitter effect really comes through.
