relevant, interesting
A very useful book for teachers highlighting some important points to consider when faced with new EAL/ESL (English as an additional/second language) students in the classroom. Easy to read with practical suggestions and real life examples, drawing upon the writer’s obvious wealth of experience of working closely with ESL students. The book’s focus is upon secondary age students, however much of the advice is equally valid when considering younger learners too. Not only would single subject teachers within international school settings benefit from reading this, but so too would teachers in state and private schools who also face the challenge of newly arrived students from various countries who face the struggle of learning in a new language.Reply
