Q: Has anyone ever used this for hiking? We have a walking one year old.

Hi Benjamin! Many of our customers use our carriers for hiking, traveling, etc.! Our Free-to-Grow carrier is perfect to take with you on a hike with your walking one-year-old!

Q: Can you wear baby facing out in front with this? Website says you cant but i see a review where someone did

This model is not designed for baby facing out, but the Tula Explorer is! I hope that helps.

Q: Does this have Velcro on the lower back or just a clip

This carrier does not have velcro on the waistband. The buckle is sewn into the waist padding on the side. For more support, we recommend using the Tula Lumbar Support for maximum comfort for prolonged wearing.
