Govee Alexa LED Bulb, Smart WiFi RGBWW B22 9W 60W Equivalent Bulb with APP Control, Work with Alexa & Google Assistant, for Bedroom Living Room

I was a little unsure about buying this due to the last couple of reviews being of people who had trouble connecting it. I decided to order it anyway and hope for the best.I went for Govee as I already have a lamp and a TV LED surround with the company. I love the products and the app is really simple to use.I put the bulb in, turned the light off and on as it stated to do 5 times and it connected up right away. I haven’t had any trouble at all and it linked to my app perfectly. So with any luck the problem the last 2 reviewers had had now been fixed. Thank goodness.The light is great. The reading setting is lovely and bright (Equivalent to a cool white 60W bulb on the old light system) . The colours are all very good with lots of scope to play around with hundreds of different shades and a good selection in the brightness settings. There are a few cycles where it will flash between colours - but honestly that a bit rubbish and is certainly no disco effect. But I didn’t buy it for that reason. I wanted a dimmerable bulb which I can change from warm to cool. The colours for me are just a bit of fun, but I’m not sure I will be using them.I need to sit and work out how to sync it to Alexa next.Based on its effectiveness and simplicity I do recommend this product.

I bought this lamp after seeing reviews of it on YouTube. So I bought it and set it up which to be honest was easy, the 2700k (warm white), 4000k (Coolwhite), and the 6500k (Daylight) are great, some of the colours are ok, (yellow, orange, green, and violet), but when you go down the road of red, blue, purple, these seem dark in brightness. I expected these colours to be more vibrant but they are not, which to me is a great shame for something with so much promise. But if you factor in that other brands charge £25-£50 for these type of lamps then it kinda makes it worth the money. I don’t think you can buy a lamp that will do everything well, you just need to look at the lamp for your uses. Would I buy again and my answer is YES. You can buy a lot worse out there in the market. Spending more money on these lamps doesn’t mean they are better.

I already have a few Govee products and in general they are quite good , well made, reliable products. As per a previous review the real issue with this bulb is the brightness. When it’s on white and reading , the brightness is about 60 watts and as expected. The issue is when it’s on a colour at max brightness you hardly know the bulb is on. In a completely dark room with this on max brightness and coloured blue, you really can’t see your hand in front of your face. Last moan is that it is impossible to get this to work with Alexa . You need to control it through their app. Would I recommend this product, definitely not. I was on the verge of sending it back but just couldn’t be bothered with the hassle.

It came not working at all but then it started working after waiting for few hours and I spend 2 hours trying to set it up but it doesn’t connect on my wifi at all, tried everything like putting it near my router and nothing work so i returned it.

Bought this for my living room and love it. Fits in like a normal bayonet bulb. I use mine through an app on my phone as don't have alexa. App was easy to down load and connect to the buld. There is a myriad of features you can choose for colours and run sequences and able to time it to come on and of.

After reading some of the more recent reviews perhaps there has been a bad batch?When I received the light bulb there was difficulty in connecting it with my WiFi. Followed the instructions to the letter, and in the end I think it was just by sheer accident that it did connect. Everything was fine for a couple of weeks. Then one night I had it on a nice warm orange colour. Light started to flicker and went to a blue colour. Tried to change it back. Now don't get any colours apart from blue and green. Nothing else. At the time of sale I paid about £15 for a light bulb that lasted a couple of weeks. Really think about it before purchasing this light bulb. Disappointing.

I now have four of these bulbs and they're great. My gaming room has one set to dimly lit mood lightling with a saved setting to easily bring the lighing to bright.There are then ones in the kids bedroom and playroom so i dont have to shout at them to come down for food or anything else. Change it to red and they know it's time.. bless techThe last is in our bedroom.. saves needing a bedside lamp as can just adjust the brightness as needed.The app connects effortlessly to the bulbs and is simple to use.I do wish there was a simple save function for colours and brightnesses, not just colours but i guess you can't have it all. A few extra effect or being able to create your own effect would be nice too

The light doesn't like to be in certain brightness levels and they're 40% to 65% for me. The light will flicker slightly as if the current is constantly changing and is quite annoying. I can control it on iOS using Siri Shortcuts but I wouldn't recommend these lights if the flickering issue is a defect.
