This book is a piece of crap
This book is a load of crap. Don’t waste your money. The picture is of their “map of Oregon” on page 11. No other map of the locations to help organize the search. It says the sights are listed by Région, but no Région is mentioned and no map showing the regions. It says there are google + coordinates but not one is listed, just a lot of latitudes and longitudes. You would have to know these places to know that you want to go to these places. What a waste of time and money.

A Sad Almost Useless Guide
The map of Oregon is a logo. There are no region differentiations. It talks of Google geocodes, but none are included. The GPS coordinates are in at least three different formats. The only values is as a checklist.Spend your money elsewhee.

Not what I thought it was.....
This book is just a journal for you to write in when you visit these sites. There is little to no information about the sites. I should have read the description more thoroughly....I wasted my money.

‘Volcanic activity formed canyons, lava flows, and dry deserts’– wonders of Oregon!
Bridge Press is launching a new travel and learn program that entices the reader to explore the special wonders of states. The fifth volume invites us into the many natural, beautiful, and inspiring creations of nature found in Oregon while at the same time, offering a unique advantage: creating a journal of experiences that provides a complement to learning and memory! As the authors state, ‘Sorted by region, this guide offers 50 amazing wonders of nature found in Oregon for you to go see and explore. These can be visited in any order, and this book will help you keep track of where you’ve been and where to look forward to going next, Each portion describes the area or place, what to look for, how to get there, and what you may need to bring along. A map is also included so you can map your destinations. Following each location description is a filllable journal page for you…For those places that are not associated with a specific location, it is easiest to map using GPS coordinates…’ And they even instruct us on how to use Google Maps! What follows is an interesting overview of Oregon’s history, a description of the landscape and climate, and then the doors open to explore such sites as Crater Lake, Mt. Hood, Pillars of Rome, Valley of the Giants, Salt Creek Falls, Cape Meares, Clear Lake, Sea Lion Cave, The Octopus Tree, Silver Falls, Thor’s Well - a total of fifty fascinating sites to visit. Each site is described with history and unique features, Best time to visit, Pass/permit/fees, Closest city or town, How to get there, GPS Coordinates, a Did you know? fact, a color photograph, and a Journal page to fill in dates visited, weather conditions, who you were with, nature observations, and special memories. This is a fascinating concept and very well produced ‘travel experience’ that provides a lot of information about the state, about nature, and about personal experiences – all captured in a journal/diary that provides countless opportunities to revisit fine memories. Bridge Press has hit upon a clever and very well produced addition to travel and learning. Grady Harp, May 21

A lot of Hidden Gems
As a native Oregonian, this book gives a great overview on many of the State's natural wonders. I do have a few small issues. While the book does give the GPS coordinates of each location, this book could have greatly benefited from including a map where all of the locations are based, as this would save the reader quite a bit of time searching for many of these locations. Secondly, the book could have been better organized by region or by geological feature. It seems just a little archaic in the book's setup. Aside from a few location errors, I think this is a really good book for many facets of Oregon that often go overlooked.

Great Idea
What a wonderful book idea. For anyone thinking of visiting Oregon, this book should be your companion. It gives the details about each place of attraction, the best time to visit, permit fees, closest city or town, how to get there, and GPS coordinates. You even get to journal your experience! The information is detailed and useful.

Very well thought out and useful!
What a great guide! The data and attention to detail are amazing. I love that each site has info about fees and GPS coordinates in addition to directions. Now that I'm aware of this series and the quality of it, I'll be taking a copy for every place I visit.
