Hafi Organic Preserves 3-Flavor Variety: One 14.1 oz Jar Each of Lingonberry, Cloudberry, and Gooseberry in a BlackTie Box (3 Items Total)

I've never seen any of these preserves available in the U.S. although after watching numerous Scandinavian hiking videos I became somewhat familiar with the berries themselves, at least visually. When I stumbled across these on Amazon figured "why not"? And I am so glad I did because these are absolutely delicious! Nicely packaged in a gift box, fresh and delicious, these preserves are highly recommended.

Great products and uncommon flavors from Norway (Lingonberry, Cloudberry and Gooseberry). Great packaging and great jellies. Cloudberry ANYTHING is very hard to find - they have it! Great quality. A win all the way around. A little pricey but very worth it. Give it a try. I guarantee you've not had this before. I made a cloudberry mascarpone pastry filling and cloudberry ice cream... my guests were wowed.

I bought this mainly for the cloudberry jam, which I had always wanted to try. Unfortunately it was the worst of the three flavors--like raspberry jam without any tartness. It wasn't BAD, but it wasn't anything special. The gooseberry on the other hand was delicious--like a slightly more tart version of raspberry jam. I had had lingonberry jam before, and this was as expected--sweet and a little bitter.Overall this would make a nice gift given the unusual flavors, but it's a lot of money for three jars of jam, especially when not every flavor is a slam dunk.

If you have a Scandinavian friend, this is a safe gift. My friend from Finland was so thrilled –he even called his mother! If you find a recipe for Finnish spoon cookies (delicate butter cookies) -these are the jams to use to sandwich them. I had heard of cloud-berries and was curious -they are lovely. If you like things a little tart like cranberries -they taste like a sweet more ripe version of a cranberry.

The jars are much, much, bigger than expected. We haven't tried it yet, but we can see the whole berries inside the jar! I've never seen a cloudberry...now I'm on cloud 9....but where are my snozzberries?!Update- Damn, these are delicious!! The cloudberry tastes like succulent, sweet honey! Another name for cloudberries could be "honeyberries", but the name cloudberry is too good to top....But be careful of the larger blackberry type seeds, they will break a filling. The gooseberry may be the best flavor in the box, slightly tart, with a fantastic texture. Will be purchasing again.

Finally after 5 years I got to try cloudberries, light floral, appley, very mild orange taste.....Yum! The gooseberry name sounds off-putting but is pleasantly surprising. Haven't tried the lingonberry yet but lingonberry syrups, jams and jellies have been around in the States since before IKEA showed up so thats old news, LOL. With that said Hafi isn't IKEA so I'm very excited to try it.

I purchased these for my father, who requested cloudberry and lingonberry preserves after a trip to Sweden. Never having had either fresh, I can only compare them to other preserves I've tried and go based on my father's opinion. He's enjoying the preserves thoroughly (and intends to order more of the same once finished), and I thought they were excellent as well. They have an expiration date printed on them which was not far from the date we received them, though, so that's something to be wary of. Chances are good that if you go out of your way to procure these, a short shelf life won't be an issue!

Bought for Father's Day. Everyone who tasted it said they were very good, and everyone had their own favorites, of course. The gift box is okay, but nothing special. But then, I wasn't BUYING the box; I was buying the JAMS.Will DEF buy again and again.
