Debated getting one of the more expensive nail grinders but didn’t want to spend all that if my dog wasn’t going to let me use it on him. He is very skittish around noises like that so I took my time introducing it to him. Recommend you look up tips of how to dremel train your dog. He has done great with this! This is really easy to use and the lights on it are fantastic!! The battery has lasted well. I’ve used it almost everyday for 5-10 minutes doing one foot at a time with the lights on for the past couple weeks and the battery is only at about 75%. Very handy that it displays the battery level during use. Keep in mind grinding nails takes longer than clipping to get them short. Do not expect that you can do a nail in 5 seconds. My dog is a 70lb pointer mix and it works just fine on his nails. Would definitely recommend this product!

I could honestly cry. Weve tried several nail grinders that would take anywhere from 4 hours to 2 days to grind our dogs nails down enough depending on how long it’s been since her last groom (typically 2-3 weeks) and how many times I needed to recharge the device.We really struggled finding one that could handle her thick, heavy nails. They grinders were always too dull, or would stop rotating with the slightest pressure, or honestly got us no where.Buying this grinder was our last ditch effort before we would look for other options to keep her nails short. AND IT WORKED!!I remember audibly GASPING while grinding the first nail at how QUICKLY the nail was going down. It was one of the quieter nail grinders I’ve had (which honestly doesn’t matter much to us as my dog doesn’t seem to mind the noises), it didn’t skip, and the flashlight really helped me see the quick when it came to her black nails. I used the flashlight, and the 3rd speed setting without the nail guard to finish her nails.What used to take us several hours to a couple days, I finished in less than 30 minutes with barely a dent made into the battery life.I called my husband nearly in tears that it worked and exceeded my expectations. I’m sooo happy I found this nail grinder!!

I bought its predecessor for my elderly dog who was slipping on our tile floors but soon started using it for my fungus toenails. Then I used it for all my nails. It works so much better than nail files on my short but shaped and unpainted nails. It's especially good for calluses that I used to use a cuticle nipper on. The old one's battery was getting weaker so I bought this one. It's a solid piece of equipment that's easy to use. I like the charge indicator and lights. The cap to collect filings is nice for using on a dog.

I thought this wld be ideal! Came w a dust cover, lot's of them don't. I took my time w her, rubbing it on her back, allowing her to sniff-- so on-- even showed her me using it on my nails. It's very quiet, I don't know why she absolutely refuses me to use it on her.This unit has several different speeds and came w an extra grinding attachment!!I will keep trying, even 1 nail each time , so have hopes she will adust!

I love this new dog nail grinder. It is very quiet, which is a plus when working with a puppy. Also my standard poodle is black with black nails, so the Led lights are a game changer. I highly recommend this tool.

Works, but is pretty under powered for larger dogs with thick nails. Takes a long time to trim a single nail
