Absolutely no problems
Used my canning pot and made a dye bath over my barbecue burner. Followed directions and only put 5 cloth napkins in at a time. Did around 30 altogether. Worked perfectly with all equally colored and matching. The only thing I did differently was I only dyed them for 20 minutes max. My napkins were polyester. I also put some cotton ones in at the end and dyed them as well and they came out perfectly as well. This product has never failed me except when I didn’t follow directions. The hard part is stirring the whole time, but it is with it to get an even result.

Does not work on 100% polyester
Do not use on anything over 45% polyester, will not work.

Works for synthetic wigs
I bought a 99j lace wig for a cosplay. It's a bit more burgundy than I'd like, so I mixed Rit DyeMore green and yellow to tone it down. Green-yellow is opposite red-purple on the color wheel, and I wanted a wig that was brown with slight red undertones. This did the job nicely. I kept the wig in a pot on the stove at a simmer for 45 minutes, stirring for about 30 minutes. When I pulled it out, it didn't seem like the color changed at all (it was also a complete rat's nest from all the boiling). Flat ironed to see it actually did take the dye and was the color I wanted! Very happy with the result. Will try dyeing some synthetic fabric next.

Perfect for Bluey costumes
This was the perfect color for our bluey costumes. I use apricot orange for the Bingo and Chili. Very easy to use. I dyed one piece at a time in a big pot on the stove.

Eh
The packaging came with dye all over it, I don’t believe that the bottle was leaking but I’m not sure. Just something to be aware of. Otherwise the dye worked well on these extensions. They were a golden blonde color before I dyed them. (I used black and this orange.)

Didn't turn out that color.
I followed the directions but the color turned out nothing like the bottle. 😭

Very nice color
Though this product dues require time for proper use, it was well worth it. Very nice color with great color distribution. I may even dye my old wedding dress with this!

Best used alone
I tried to use this as one color or a tie dye. It was this purple bright pink and neon green. But the purple overpowered all the other colors when it was washed everything was pretty much purple. So I’d recommend purple by its self.

Had to dye the garment twice
First time, I followed the instructions of the bottle and my garment went from a light beige to a bluey- gray so the second time I used one full bottle and only 3 liters of water so it makes it really concentrated ( the instructions were half bottle per 3 gallons-11 liters of water) and it did the trick .I would just recommend to use less water than the instructions enough to cover the garment but not more than 4-5 liters I would say for a whole bottle . And make sure it’s at least 60 degrees Celsius hot at all times. I used a stainless steel saucepan and I was putting it on the hob every 15 minutes . I left the garment in ( both times ) for an hour.

Not happy
I brought this product because it states in the product details you can use washing machine “ About this itemSynthetic Liquid Rit DyeGreat for adding a pop of color to fabric!Delivers a vibrant color to what you apply it to!All you need to get started is a washing machine, plastic container, or a stainless-steel sink!”Only to find out can only be done on the job in a stainless steel saucepan

No where near pigmented enough to work
I followed the instructs to a T, stainless steel pot, wash the clothes first, 3 gallons of water, used an entire bottle, low boiling, and 1 hour of stirring and submerging. The grey worked well, exactly as expected. The blue straight up did nothing. Literally nothing, and the clothes were off white. Dark colours may be good but light ones I’m not convinced work.

Really happy with it!!!
Bought 2 bottles of dye for a 100% polyester dress. I followed the instructions precisely but I used both bottles in a pot 😅 and it worked perfectly. Kept the pot on the stove for 1 hour continuously mixing so the material will get covered and no patches to be present. Make sure you have gloves on, the water kept close to boiling point for the entire process. Then ringed with warm water and out to wash in the washing machine for 30 min at 30 degrees C. Really vibrant colour-green apple! The photo doesn’t do it justice. Will be using again in the future ❤️

Doesn’t work waste of money
Did not work at all. I brought this dye as my tunic is polyester. Followed instructions and had very high hopes. I was planning on spending just the money on the dye, now I have to spend more money on new tunics. I wouldn’t waste your money.
