This fly mask is a lightweight stretchy fabric. It does not have Velcro so It took putting it on a couple of times because it stretches over the head. Now I can just put them on in the pasture and the horses are glad to get them. I like the big eye and ear openings. I was concerned about the thin material but so far they haven’t gotten damaged.I’m not sure if it may pick if they are in high grass/weeds or get torn if your horses play rough. That’s the reason for the lower durability rating but I’ve had no issues.True to size. I bought a small that fits my large 13 1/2 hand cob size pony well. The small is little large for my, usually head shy, 12 hand pony. Since it’s stretchy, it works for him and he really likes it.I also bought a medium for my 15 hand horse. It fits well but any larger probably needs a large size.

My horses are very comfortable in these masks. They are very cute on them. Easy to put on the horses, they don’t seem to mind them and they do a good job keeping the flys off their faces. They have torn the ears off of them but they wear them daily at least for the last 60 days.

i was worried that when I bought this it was going to rather be way to small or way to big but it is very true to the sizing that you pick I bought a medium and it fit him perfectly it hasn’t ripped or been trashed yet and the coloring was good and the material wasn’t cheap feeling. If you’re looking for something affordable then this would be a good product for you.

This is the best fly mask. My horse hated fly masks until we got this one! He loves it? Thank you so much for finally making a mask that makes sense. It is soft, fits snugly, big mesh area for the eyes so no catching their eye latches, and no flies can get in.

I love the idea of this mask, however, after two weeks both eyes had cuts in them. The netting on the eyes could be more resistant to tears. I know my horse likes to rub up against things when she is itchy, but she’s had other more expensive masks that have lasted much longer. But I love the ears and the ease of putting this mask on. I tried to sew up the eyes as best as I could, and I will try it on her again. I actually purchased two of these masks so she is wearing the other one now. I hope it lasts a little longer than the first one did.

Fit is a little snug, but for my arabian gelding, it was fine. Perfect fly protection for my sweet guy! If you are questioning size, I suggest going with the larger.

Update: I decided to keep the second mask and try again. I guess the first one was just a bad mask because the other one lasted much longer and I’ve ordered multiples since. All fit amazing and have held up decent despite his ability to to tear fly mask up at a fast rate.I purchased this for my Missouri Foxtrotter who is so hard to fit for stuff. They offered a Cobb size so I was excited. It shipped and arrived fast. The fit was fantastic unfortunately the mask didn’t survive 6 hours on him. I found it in the pasture with an eye ripped, and one ear ripped and holes in the other eye and ear. I ordered a second but will be returning it due to him tearing this one up so fast.
