Like all Byers product this frame mounted storage box is excellent quality and should last a lifetime. My quibble is with the lousy way it was packaged. It came in a tight fitting cardboard box with one 3" wide strip of paper thin foam wrapped around the middle of the item. This foam was not adequate enough to keep the sides of the box from rubbing on the cardboard and as a result all 6 sides of the storage box are burnished as if someone took 220 grit sandpaper to it. I guess I'll have to hit it with some black Rustolium before installing it since, if I return it, with their poor packaging, the replacement will probably be the same or worse.

Solid construction and weather-tight—great value This underbody box exceeded my expectations. The 14-gauge steel feels sturdy and well-built, with a durable powder coat that holds up to road grime and weather. The T-latch locks tight and gives a secure seal—no water intrusion even after heavy rain. It mounted easily to my trailer frame, and the space is perfect for keeping tools and straps organized. You can tell it’s American-made. Definitely recommend for anyone needing a tough, secure truck or trailer toolbox.

This box is awesome! It's heavy AF though. My FedEx carrier likely damaged one of the corners getting it out of his truck, but no matter because it's hidden on my install. Really like how the tightness of the closures are adjustable. I put this under my shuttlebus conversion. I am a 5 foot tall female and installed this by myself using a floor jack to lift it into place. I used 1/8" thick 2" wide steel bar which I had to drill holes through to mount to the box. My channel rails are 14.5" apart, so since the OD depth of this box is only 13" I mounted 12" bars to the inside of the box and 16" bars in the outside (see pics). I put 3 bars on the box to hang this from the channel rails that are welded to the frame cross beams under my bus. Sturdy AF! Love this box, plan on getting another one for the opposite side of the bus soon. Removed an AC unit I never used to put this in and used the same bolts and channel rail do-dads to hang it the same way the AC unit was hanging. Love it! Only complaint is I wish they would use foam pads on the corners when they box it up for shipping. Almost all the reviews including mine mention corner damage during shipping. It's obvious that the manufacturer provides the packaging, so it is not the seller's or shipper's fault for damage. It didn't matter though, I am extremely happy with it.

Heavy built. Be sure to have an extra set of strong hands. The size is perfect. I installed the tool box on a stepdeck trailer. Plenty of room. I'll watch the screws and rivits. Gotta stay on top if those, my other toolbox they started to vibrant out. The key lock seems a bit tough to turn. I'll lube the locks to see if that helps. Overall I'm very happy and wish I'd have bought the buyers box first. So far no dirt is getting past the seals. I'll keep an eye on it and update later.

I’ve always been happy with Buyers products and I still am. However they need to do better with packaging/shipping. I didn’t spend almost 700 on a new toolbox so I could put a dented scratched box on it. Every side has at least one.Very frustrating and disappointing.

I searched quite a bit for a tool chest I could install in my 2017 Jeep Wrangled Unlimited cargo area for secure storage solution with the top off. I wanted to have a front opening and very sturdy chest and the underbody seemed to be the best solution for me. Slightly u conventional use for this, but it works perfect. This chest is very sturdy and appears to have quality welds. There was some slight bowing on the sides likely due to the welding heat, but not significant enough for me to dislike it. I did adjust the door slightly on the hinge to center it as well. Overall very happy. If I had one recommendation for the manufacturer it would be to make the lock easier to get the key in. It seems it is a bit hard to get it in since it has the little cover to protect it from ambient conditions

They are 14 gauge and have a great door system with the T handle and great seals. They make nice boxes
