Will they shrink if washed in hot water? They fit great except they are about 1-2 inches too long. I don't want to hem them if they will shrink. Ty

I would not wash them in hot water (color will fade). I normally wash them on normal cycle with cool / luke warm water and hang dry.

Is this a dress pants?

Yes it can be use as dress pants. My son wears to church. Can be dressed down as well.
