Meh
This best thing about this book is it's gorgeous cover. That's it. Just go read Six of Crows instead of reading this. There's forced romance in the first 50 pages, without the characters even knowing each other. Then slowly we get to see them interact more and then the romance gets a bit better. Then the ending is just there to keep the story moving. It's fine but not interesting enough. Half of the characters are morons. Everytime the crime Lord made a silly mistake all I could think was, Kaz Brekker would never do that! He's too smart! Once again, boring!

Disappointing Book
My Rating: 🌟🌟1/2Type: Duet – Book 1Genre: Historical Fantasy world, Action & Adventure, FictionPrimary Characters: Kazi, JaseSecondary Characters: Wren, Synové, Lia, Rafe, Kaden, Gazi, Natiya, Eben, Nikolai, Cal, MaveyNarration: Dual POVI wanted to see more of this world. I wanted to know how the United Kingdom of Morrighan, Venda and Delbreck is thriving under new rule. When I saw this, I jumped into the opportunity, however it was disappointing to me. This might be because I ended up having a pirated book. Didn’t realize it was bad pirated book until I purchased book 2 “Vow of Thief” and saw the quality.Plot starts with Kazi entering Ballenger Territory. Jase is the new Head of that family now. He has 12 siblings. Taking on the role of the Hier and the ruler, he must now guide and make sure his kingdom is safe. With the arrival of new group from kingdom everything changes. Kazi also known as “Ten” is one of Queen Lia’s trusted Rahtan. Queen enlists her help to investigate the problems in Hell's mouth. Kazi meets Jase “the Patrei” and she learns there's more to Jase than what he appears to be. Some unexpected scenarios bring them together and the events spiral out of control. The relationship development and romance between Kazi and Jase had too many up’s and down’s. I did feel that story dragged on at several points. It was more romance than the world building, action and main plot. Since the book already had a back story of world and some of the characters, I loved the depth of new characters. All the secondary characters were the highlight of this book. Ballenger siblings along with Wren, synové, Natiya and Eben were treat to watch. The book was too long with lot of characters and side stories. I had some tough time in maintaining interest as pace of the book was also lot slower. I don’t see any magic in this. I even had some tough time adjusting to time gap and connection with old trilogy.Overall, I was disappointed in this book. Book ended with cliff-hanger and many things could happen from this point forward in the story and I am intrigued to see where it goes. This made me pick the next book.

Fall in love with the characters from first book and jump on the second book asap. I think I read it in two days. Or three. So good, cried lots.

Book was already used and arrived 2 months late
When the book arrived it was clear it had already been used. Rips in the front and writing inside the novel. It also arrived 2 months late. The novel itself is good but just wouldn’t order from here. Very disappointed

Loved it!
A great book. Mary Pearson has got to be one of my favourite authors at the moment. She really allows you to connect to the characters and feel included in their story. I am now reading the revenant series which takes place in the same kingdoms as dance of thieves and I love the connections between the duology and the tribology. Amazing!
