Orange Action Cleaner And Degreaser Has No Equal When It Come's To A Very Effective, And Also Environmentally Friendly Product.
I have used Orange Action Degreaser in the past, both in diluted spray form, and in concentrated form, and I have achieved excellent results. This is a superior biodegradable grease cutting chemical. I have used it to clean baked on grease on ovens, stoves, cook tops and the walls around cook tops, vent hoods, machinery, equipment, and almost any other surface that has a coating of oil, oily accumulation of dirt, baked on grease, thick grease covered surfaces like deep fryers, and also on machinery and automobile engines and parts. All with excellent results. This stuff is very effective at cutting baked on and accumulated grease, especially if you apply it full strength to surfaces and allow it to soak, and then lightly scrub the surfaces to loosen the grease and dirt, and then thoroughly flush with fresh water. It will soften some paints and take the luster off of some paints, so test it on a small patch of the suspect paint before you go and commit to covering everything with it. It also may bleach the color out of some paints if the grease has soaked into the paint, but this is just the product removing the grease that has actually penetrated the surface of the paint. It also may soften or damage some plastics, especially if used full strength, so be careful, and flush thoroughly with fresh water after use.And I must say, this stuff REALLY cuts the grease! I have used it repeatedly, both in full strength and diluted forms, to degrease automotive engines and on industrial machinery, all with excellent results, so that I could work on the machines and repair them without getting myself black and greasy in the process, and so that I could have clean and grease free surfaces to work on, without the fear of using harsh, dangerous, and usually flammable solvents and industrial chemical cleaners and strippers.I have also used this in diluted form to clean and degrease walls so that I could prep the surfaces for painting, especially in kitchens where grease fumes tend to accumulate on ceilings, the floors under appliances, and wall surfaces. I have also used the diluted spray form to clean kitchen appliances, chrome and glass surfaces, sinks and counter tops, etc., all with good results, although you may have to touch up chrome and glass surfaces with another cleaner to remove spots that are left behind.Wear gloves when you use this product, even in diluted form, because it will suck the oil out of your skin and dry it out. And, if you use it full strength, definitely wear good quality waterproof gloves, and safety glasses or eye protection, to protect yourself against the aggressive qualities of the full strength product, and any spray or over spray, splashes, etc., that you may be subject to. Dont take chances, this is a strong cleaner after all, even if it has an excellent orange scent to go with it. Dont fool yourself into being lax with the safety and personal protection equipment. You may not notice any effects from overspray or splashes until the product has been sitting on your body for a while, and then it dries, and BAM, cracked skin and hands. Also, when working in a situation where you do not want to damage other surfaces, cover them with plastic and tape if you are in doubt, especially if you are working on a fine automobile or appliance with nice shiny paint. Dont forget to protect your clothing and shoes if using it full strength, and flushing with plenty of clean water is essential after you are through if you are using a strong solution. You do not need to do the rinse step if you are using a highly diluted spray on walls and other surfaces. You also need to be careful around certain rubber parts, like the hoses under the hood of an automobile, because it may soften or deteriorate certain rubbers if it is left on for a long time, and the rubber is not of the type that is resistant to chemicals and solvents, especially if grease and oil has soaked into deteriorated rubber parts. Expect to have to replace those type of seriously deteriorated rubber parts after you are done cleaning. The biodegradable part is also cool. Just flush with plenty of water and the dirt go's down the drain or sewer, without any EPA or environmental impacts to have to worry about. This is another reason I like to use this product on car's and machine's.
