Stopping working before 3 months.
Purchased Sep 6. Had a paper jam Dec 1. Unable to 'clear' this paper jam after watching every video online and following the steps. What an absolute waste of time and money. I will update this if the mfr can provide a fix or replacement, but a printer this expensive shouldn't have these issues. I use this for a pro photo booth. If you like your equipment dying in the middle of event, purchase this.

Not exactly plug and play, but...
This printer is not exactly plug and play, because there is a learning curve initially when it comes to loading the media(paper, ribbon). However once that is solved, its pretty much plug-and-play. You hit the "Print" button, enter the number of prints and printer starts printing. It takes a few seconds, well more than a few seconds if you are using large files to download the data from the computer to the printer, then in about 8 seconds you have your print. Unfortunately, there is no way to print directly from your card, or camera like other sub-dye printers(Canon Selphy), so you need a computer or tablet. The prints come out really nice. Like something you would get from a lab. The colors are perfect with no bleeding and/or smudges and the image is relatively sharp. Sometimes the prints come out a little too dark so you have to lighten the picture before printing, but the colors are still dead on.This printer makes a lot of noise, so I wouldn't use this in a church or a funeral, but due to it's size it is perfect for booth events and weddings. Even though the printer only weighs 22 pounds, it can still be a load to carry so I can imagine bigger and heavier printers. There is a Counter that shows up on the lower part of your computer screen letting you know how many prints you have printed per roll and how many prints you have remaining. This is great not only for financial purposes but to prevent any surprises while you are busy printing. At first, I was a little hesitant about buying this Dye-Sub printer, because printers from other manufacturers had better reviews, but those printers are also more expensive. Sinfonia has been making these type of printers for years, so that gave me a little more confidence in purchasing one. I'm glad I did, this is a great little printer and I highly recommend it. NO MORE CLOGGED INKJETS !

Perfect for photobooth or event printing
I own three of these printers and am buying two more I like them so much. They print fast and are easy to use. I use them mainly for photo booth gigs but have recently started event onsite printing and need more

Spend your money elsewhere
You would think that spending this much money on a printer would result in a quality product. But as someone put it to me once, choosing this printer is like choosing between a Toyota and a Lexus. This is definitely a Toyota at best. Prints ok pictures although you do need A LOT of adjusting to the printer settings. I used it in my photo booth and unfortunately smaller lettering comes out blurry. I used it for an event and was so embarrassed I had to provide prints as I did.I then sent the printer to be fixed. Initially was told it would take about a week or two. I called basically every day for a week during week 3 to just know when I was going to receive the printer. No one could tell me an ETA of when it would be sent back. It took basically a month to receive and I still had to pay the shipping both ways. Prints moved from a 5/10 to a 6/10.I'm hoping the seller will take it back but at this point, I think that's a lost cause.
