Novah Professional Hair Clippers for Men - Cordless Barber Clipper Hair Cutting Kit, Beard Trimmer Haircut Grooming Set

Been cutting my own hair for over 15 years now. Not a professional barber or anything, but just out of convenience and a way to save money. With that being said, these are my first cordless clippers. I have premium cordless trimmers that cost me $$$, so wasn't sure how these would compare.What I normally use to do the full cut are corded Wahl Senior clippers which pretty much can mow through anything. I was skeptical that these, for the cheap price, could cut through my hair and last.After unboxing the Novahs, I did and do like the fact they feel meaty and not like some toy. Was concerned that the cheap price meant cheap feel. Oiled them up with a combination spray and went at it.The clippers have a switch that turns them on/off, then two speeds with Turbo I think the highest speed. Honestly don't know why they did this because unless you have thin hair your likely going to leave it all the way up. I did attempt to find ways to use the lower speed for testing and to try and conserve the battery. Low speed was ok for final line fading I found. Without trying other cordless clippers, it seems the battery lasted within a reasonable time. From start to finish, the battery started at 100% and by the time I was happy with the results it was down to like 35% which I would say was during a timespan of 2hrs or so. That isn't 2hrs straight with the clippers running, but the usually on/off dance as you cut and brush the clippers off. Also note, I had to turn them off a couple times towards the end in order to let the bottom blade cool down. They got hot.Overall I was pretty impressed. I honestly let my hair go longer than usual so the clippers where tested pretty good. In my opinion, Its probably better to cut your hair with these before it gets too unruly.

This clipper worked great for the first month or two, but it won’t stay on anymore even after being fully charged. Now it’s useless because it doesn’t work. Disappointed.***Updating my review***Shortly after posting my negative review, the company reached out to me. They offered some tips and tricks to try, including applying oil (provided with the clipper set) and other small things to try. Unfortunately the tricks did not work and the clippers still wouldn’t stay running. The seller reached out AGAIN to check in and when they found out the clippers didn’t work, we had a brand new clipper set sent to us the very next day! And to top it off, the seller sent treats with an apology! I have never experienced such wonderful customer service. And our new clippers work great so far. Highly recommend!! We love the cordless clippers. Game changer!

This clipper is designed so well— and the blaze is ultra-sharp. Doesn’t grab the hair— the blades are so well-machined & sharp. Love the tactile taper-lever that locks the level into place so that pressure doesn’t adjust the blade level without your awareness. The ergonomic clipper remains cool to the touch no matter how long you’ve been at it. Easy to handle for a long duration and it comes with high quality blade attachments with beautiful metal clips— so nothing about this thing is cheap— this family owned company really obsessed over the details. The build is high-quality made of fine material and the finish is a simple yet pleasing aesthetic. Very streamlined. The batter-life is pretty solid but this is my first corded clipper so I have no frame of reference so I wanted to be fair with my general assessment. You could easily get a week or more out of these— I happen to be a daily-user so I push my products to the limit. I highly recommend these for a diy hobbyist or the professional barber— it performs just as well as your well-known “high-end” clippers. Novah knows what’s up.

*2025 UPDATE*I bought these clippers back in 2022. After using the clippers for a little over 2 years, the battery performance has dropped SUBSTANTIALLY. I cut my hair every 3 months. That means I've only used it a total of 8 times within the 2 year span. The battery is always recharged after use. I cut my hair in October 2024. The battery went from 100% to 41% in 2 minutes & died. I plugged it in the charger & tried using it, but it kept dying after 3 secs. I switched to my Whal clippers after several unsuccessful attempts. Now, January 2025 comes around, I tried using the clippers again, but now it dies after 2 mins of use & 80% left on the charge. Again, it dies after 3 secs. Even while plugged in. It's so frustrating when this happens while I'm in the middle of a haircut. It cuts off midway & grabs a bunch of my hair which hurts. I'm definitely not happy with the battery performance. This is mainly due to quality control & cheap parts. My Whal clippers were used way longer & have had no issues after 4yrs of use. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend these clippers.Pandemic has gotten people to take on lots of different new hobbies and cutting hair has become 1 of mine. I’ve been using a clipper by WAHL until I got this one to try out. Compared to WAHL it looks much slicker and looks and feels solid and definitely get the professional vibe. It’s very easy to use and much smoother than what I’ve been used to. It is a tad bit more on the heavier side but you know it’s because of the quality of the product plus doesn’t tire out my hands anyways. The battery life indicator is definitely a plus because I have run out of battery mid way and it is very frustrating. I love how it has the taper lever option and the guide combs are so easy to take off and put on, which is a plus for me. The WAHL was a little tougher to put on and off. I would definitely recommend this product to any first timers and to professionals because this clipper does not disappoint!
