I had a Le Creuset kettle, It was expensive, the handle tipped over while heating it and melted and it rusted even though I made sure to leave no water inside after each use. I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement for months. I tried cheaper ones and they had all the same problems I mentioned and more. I really like this Gipfel kettle. It’s expensive but apparently you have to pay a lot for tea kettles to get a decent one. It’s all stainless steel so it won’t rust and the handle won’t melt, has large capacity, the spout is up high so you can fill it fully and the whistle is loud and strong.

Important to know that handle gets really hot.Overall it’s a good quality, beautiful kettle that I personally like. No rust or residue issues. Quick tip, at the end of the day I will rinse the kettle and spray the inside with vinegar, then rinse again with warm water. Wipe with kitchen towel. So far no issues, no spots, no rust.

The Gipfel International Stainless Kettle is the best kettle I’ve ever owned. I like everything about it. I’m glad I finally found one that will last fo years.

This kettle is nicely finished and a reliable whistler. I like the first one so much that I bought a second for a corporate apartment we stay in sometimes. I loved them both right up until I tried to add more water when the kettle was still hot. There is no way to do it without an oven mitt or hot pad. And to make matters worse, due to the lid design, once you remove it, it tends to stick to your fingers, making it difficult to drop it to stop the pain. That's when the blistering started. I approached it much more carefully the second time, but I was burned again. It is a design flaw.

Great for boiling water for tea.

I hesitated to buy this because some reviews reported that the handle gets hot. I use mine on an induction stove and neither the handle nor the spout cover lever get hot. No gloves/pot holders needed. Very pleased!!!!!

This bright and shiny tea kettle is a real eye catcher. Love the finish and design. As others have noted the handle does heat up, If I were still making pitchers of ice tea I would find that very annoying. I searched several times scouring the many options. and features and this is the one I kept returning to. I’ve had numerous kettles over the years and have now concluded there is no perfect tea kettle! This one has the best whistle of them all!

Purchased Gipfel Whistling Tea Kettle 2 months ago...marketed as a high quality tea kettle which would apply to the body of the tea kettle unfortunately it does not apply to the whistling component which has fallen out of the unit ...and since I'm pass the return time line with Amazon I have been trying to reach out to the company / manufacturer which is becoming hard to find the right contact for help.... I may have to try to fixed it myself....
