Q: Is the base 35" and the height 65" ? I need to know those dimensions for a spot in my living room for a sick cat.

The base of the cat tent is about 74 x 63 inches, and 36 inches in height. And the material of the tent is elastic, there will be a difference of 1-2 inches.

Q: Can a tunnel be zipped onto the opening? If so, is there a particular tunnel that has to be used?

The cat tent can not be zipped to a tunnel.

Q: Frame sections do not fold out properly. How did I get them twisted around? Can't get the tent set up properly.

We did not have this trouble at all. Rods fit into themselves nicely with no twisting. Cat loves the tent.
