The brush . . meh; The Customer Service-5 Stars
I was disappointed with the hair straightening brush ONLY because it didn't get hot enough. I started out with it set to 325 degrees and it showed promise, I however have 4 b & 4c hair (with 75% shrinkage). I kept raising the temperature until it was 450 degrees- hair melting, right? Not to mention, my hair should have been straight. It only removed the kink left from having used a blow dryer, which means it was less pouffy than it was straight. But not straight in the real sense of straight as it relates to 4c hair-especially if you've ever had your hair hot combed or permed straight.. It had so much potential! It is super easy to use and heated quickly. Despite my disappointment with the product, I have only raves for the customer service department! I received a response to my email in less than 2 hours! I got to keep the straightener (it should work fine for ,my 2c/3b haired daughter) and they gave me a full refund to boot! DearKays Team, you could teach a lot of companies about providing customer service! Thank you so much, just wish the product had been more effective.UPDATE! The Brush worth the wait! And worth 5 Stars!I am changing my review from 3 Stars to 5! DearKays excells at customer service! They offered to send me a new Ceramic Hair Straightening Brush for free and I accepted their offer. The new brush heated up quickly and reached the proper temperature! It did an excellent job of straightening my hair to old school hot comb straightness. Am now a very happy camper and reccommend this product and this company. Their determination to satisfy this customer was impressive.

Don’t know what you mean that it’s the worst. I have unpermed kunta kinte African naps and this Hair straightner is the best I've ever seen. I hadn’t combed my hair all the way thru, for over 4 months. I had to bribe my friend to just washed it last week for the first time in 5 months but still not combed or brushed. I've been sick in and out of the hospital with no one to do my hair I could only comb the edges and those were so nappy I considered cutting all of my hair off and starting from scratch it was so bad. I did my research on the Internet and found this hair straightner. Before I got it, I thought it was going to be another wasted attempt to do the impossible but the price was right.I was gobsmacked, shocked to my core. Not only did I amazed myself but also my sister and friiends who encouraged me to cut off my hair -- as there was no hope.I only had to comb it twice to get it really straight. When my sister saw my hair she didn't believe I didn’t go to a salon and have someone fix my hair. She actually thought I got a perm and couldn't believe it was a hair straightner. She took mine and I don't think I'm getting it back she wears her hair naturally all the time. I went ahead and purchased 3 more one just in case and another to give away to friends. They didn’t believe me either.Don't know why you had issues but I'm loving my new look and won't give this straightening brush up.

GREAT HEATED BRUSH!!!!
Love this brush!!!! I was in a bad accidentb16 months ago and I'm still unable to drive and doctor's appts are my only escape from the 4 walls of my house. So consequently my hair has grown about 8 inches!!! This is the longest my hair has ever been & ive been clueless what to do with it. My hair is very soft, VERY fine and thinning. I initially ordered the paddle brush style and it didn't work at all, so back it went. I kept looking and saw this one and thought the more triangular shape, the tighter, more comb-like teeth might just be the answer. IT WAS THE ANSWER!!!! The tighter teeth really give my fine hair volume as I use this heated brush from the underside instead of brushing like I would brush to say de-tangle after a shower. Before this I was spending at least 45 minutes trying to make my now long hair look decent and even after all that time and effort it still looked awful and upIn a clip or ponytail it went! Now I spend maybe 5-7 minutes with this brush and I have gorgeous sleek, shiny hair with volume around the top and especially the crown and I love it. My best friend tried it and immediately ordered one for herself!! Don't be afraid to try it, you'll be a pro after just a couple of uses!!!

RE-UPDATED REVIEW: So the company sends me not a replacement product, but an email explaining how they have done research and found other similar complaints and the problem is using the straightener in cold weather? Told me to warm it up during cold weather. REALLY? I live in FLORIDA !!! So we are back to 1 star.CHANGED REVIEW: Well. I have to change this review to 5 stars. I did not ask for a replacement, but this company saw my review and think I received a faulty item, so took it upon themselves to send me a replavement !!! Who gives that good a customer service response? Apparently this company. I will post how the new one works, but wow, I am impressed.OLD REVIEW: Purchased this because it was advertised at 446F degrees. Previously purchased the Asavea and liked it, but need a higher temperature for my hair. This electric comb should have been hotter than the Asavea, which is advertised at 392F degrees but was not as hot, ??? I do not understand what went wrong. Did I get a defective comb? Was it improperly advertised? Is the Asavea hotter than advertised? I guess we will never know. I also thought it had a slight more drag on the hair. Also, why do they categorize it as a brush when it looks like a comb? Anyway, I donate it to my local woman's abuse center. I don't need two. I will wait until someone comes up with a hotter one and just use it to tame curls to waves in the meantime and control the frizz with coconut oil. I am white with very thick coarse hair with a strong tight wave.
