The weight of this storage box is noticeable as soon as you take it out of the box and from this, it is very apparent that this is a strong, robust storage box. Which is exactly what you would want, given that it will be protecting your keys and thus, your house, from unwanted access. Clearly, the most ideal situation is not to leave your keys outside your house i.e. keep them on you at all times, but there are numerous reasons as to why this would not be practical and this is significantly better than leaving them under a flower pot.The storage box is easy to use, with it being attached by way of a padlock mechanism, which can only be opened from inside the storage box.. Once it has been installed, the box is very easy to open i.e. it is as straightforward as lowering the protective cover (this flips down), twisting the combination to the correct code and sliding down the rotating bezel to open the box.It is possible to change the combination lock number on the storage box and whilst this is a little bit fiddly (the mechanism for doing so is inside the storage box, as you would expect, and requires the movement of a lever to do so) it is a relatively simple and straightforward job. In addition, I guess this is probably a one time change so I can probably put up with it being a little difficult.If I were to suggest any improvements to this storage box, it would be the inclusion of a hook on the inside to hang the keys up, so that they don't fall out onto the ground when the box is opened. Otherwise however, the box seems to perfectly suit the needs for which it was designed.

When flipping the reset switch which is minute and flimsy...it came loose so unusable now.

This is a great idea if you need to leave a key for family but don’t have several keys to give them, it’s a secure way of leaving a key for them if they need access. This would be particularly useful for an elderly family member who had regular help, such as carers who vary and don’t all have a key. I can fit a regular double glazed door key in plus a set of keys with long shed keys in too (please see my photos) this would be handy to leave the shed key in and padlock the door if you have a long garden and forget to take the key with you.Setting it up is simple, it has a reset lever inside the combination lock, push the lever up, ensure the digits are on 0000 then shut it, change the numbers to whatever suits you, open it and pull the reset lever down, it will now only lock on the number you set. You can change the combination by just following the above, though starting with your set numbers not 0000.The padlock part easily opens inside with release leaver you push to the right and then you can pull up and out the padlock catch. To shut just push it down it will click into place and lock.A useful item that’s easy to use.

This is a solid piece of kit, ideal for keeping spare keys - just in case - and being portable, it can go almost anywhere, inside or out. This is ideal for anyone who tends to either lose their keys or for anyone who wants to keep spare keys for visitors/deliveries etc.The unit is very solid and heavy and far bigger than you might think. It is designed to hold several keys, so perfect for a bunch of keys. The simple operation needs no batteries and the security number can be easily changed when needed. The number pad has a cover to keep the rain etc out and being rubber will not rust or perish.We have installed a large ring into one of the outside walls and when we need to use the unit we simply attach it to that - simple. Recommended

The operation of the safe is simple, as it should be. It is easily mounted It is also secure as the locking mechanism is activated by a combination code. There is enough space inside the safe to store at least 8 keys which would be more than adequate if one wanted to safeguard keys for the main door to the house or flat, a rear door or gate and possibly even the garage. Having said that the safe is not too large and obtrusive. Best of all the design is superb and in its way enhances the wall it has been placed on.

Hands up confession time, This was meant to be for when I moved, but as life goes the move fell through so I've not had the chance to set it up yet, but man it is heavy, sturdy and feels like it will last a hundred years, the plastic covering is also very close and requires a bit of a pull to come off, I literally cannot wait to be able to set this up so fingers crossed the next move goes smooth.

This is a good sized portable key safe in black. Handle is a pack lock design so portable and easy to attach to anywhere when out and about. On the back of the box is 4 holes so it could be attached to a permanent anchor point- so quite versatile. Think it would roughly hold 4-5 keys dependant on size. Combination lock is self-explanatory and easy to use. Can’t currently see a price to comment on value for money. But would say appears sturdy and secure, and something I’d be happy to recommend.
