Awesome rice that has a low GI
This rice is great. It has a nice, relatively low, glycemic index, that allows for a little bit more flexibility in my low carb diet. I personally am eating low carb as a way of being generally healthy. I do not have any sort of medical issue that I can say is relieved by eating a low carb so I cannot say with certainty if this rice does not spike my blood sugar as much as white rice would.Anyways, it is good to be able to have a cup of this a week in order to add some calories to a workout day. The taste is good and I will be ordering again.Mine came in a bag which is pictured on the product page. It did not come in a plastic container.Pros:*Great taste*Low GICons:*NoneAdditional Considerations:Keep in mind this has a lower GI than normal rice but it is rice. Eating a ton of it will accomplish the same goal as eating carbs. Just be aware of portion sizes. Arrived with Bugs/Insects inside the container. Seal was broken
Had to through it away due to webs and bugs crawling around in the rice. The expiration was 2021, but the seal was broken.
