Decibullz - Custom Molded Contour ES in-Ear Headphones, Easily and Quickly Shaped to Your Ears (Black)

Let me just start by saying this: I don't usually write reviews for products. I read tons of reviews before I buy stuff, very never take the time to write one after I receive the item. I really wanted to take a moment to give some feedback on these earphones, only because i was very satisfied with their quality, and they've earned my business.This is the second product I've purchased from Decibullz. I bought a set of the custom molds that you can use with other headsets, which overall were pretty good, but after about 6 months of use, my dog got ahold of them, and decided they were a tasty treat, which is why I went shopping for a new set.Let's go over some of the pros and cons: (can't find a lot of negatives, but I'll try my hardest to find something)Price: 60 bucks. Which is twice of what you will pay for OEM iPhone earbuds. Definitely not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. I think the price is justified for the product you get.Packaging: solid box, you get a little pouch to keep the headset in, but if you are like me, you'll never use it.Sound: you are obviously not going to get the sound you would in higher end set. I do find the quality to be pretty fairly good, with higher bass than the previous headset I had. The custom molds do not have noise canceling technology, but keep a decent amount of outside noise out. Let's just say that when my 12lb dog freaks out when someone knocks on the door, having the earphones on makes it about 50% less annoying.Comfort: this is probably one of the categories where these product excels at. I use my earphones A LOT. When I drive to work, when I'm at home browsing the internet on my iPad, always wear them when I'm on my cellphone, which is also lot since I'm usually on the move for work. I drive more than your average earthling and I'm usually listening to an audiobook or podcast while I do so. I have had comfort issues with most style of headsets(even the ones with the little rubber fin that is supposed to be extra comfy), after keeping them on for long periods of time, they start feeling weird on my ear and I need a break. Not with these bad boys, I can go like 4+ hours without any kind of discomfort. Also important to mention, the earbuds will not come off your ears during a run or gym session. I used to have the add ons that attach to other headphones which did feel loose from time to time, but these also have the round tip on the inside, which gives it the extra suction/support to keep them on at all times.Other cool features: really like the style of the cable which is flat, and also the V shaped audio jack (I always feel like I'm going to break the port or the cable when my phone hits something with the regular audio jack.Controls: the control works perfect with my iPhone, which is a must, because who wants to use the phone buttons these days...I guess the only negative thing would be that I couldn't pause videos on my iPad (works fine on my iPhone though, oh well, it didnt say it was iPad compatible after all)Lastly, I do want to mention that the custom mold really gives it extra brownie points, because it makes the product feel like you have a custom set made only for your ears, something you would only get if you were paying for some really high end models.Overall, if you don't feel like dishing out 100 bucks for earbuds that your pet will probably use as dental floss in a few months anyways, but also want something other than the regular OEM crap every other peasant out there has, do yourself a favor and get yourself a pair of these :-)

Great fit and noise isolation. Sound quality was horrible.But then I pulled the ends off and blew the excess water out and they came alive.If you fit these and find there is zero high end, look for water in the earpieces!

Ordered these to wear under my motorcycle helmet while riding. They will not stay in your ears when putting the helmet on. The moulded part fits ear and stays perfect once moulded...but the ear phone part pops out of the moulded ear part. No matter what....they won't stay together. It's a poor design....the moulded part and ear phone are 2 separate parts. A rubber gasket is supposed to hold tension and keep them together....but there isnt enough tension. I dont even think they would stay together if you were running or jogging with them in.Sound quality wasn't very good either. HORRIBLE PRODUCT......AVOID.I went and ordered some Plugfones.....work perfect, sounds amazing and stay in my ears when putting on my helmet.

My earphones always fall out. Nothing fits. Total nightmare. I hate using speakerphone (worse than the voice quality at drive-ins) and refuse to fry my brain by holding my cellphone to my ear. (The research is in folks, cellphones are very bad for your brain, so keep your phone away from you!)These earphones stay in and are comfortable. Not super duper pillow soft comfy, but pretty darn good. And the sound quality is great.A lot of people don't like the flat cord, but I don't have a problem with it. Treat it with care and it will last.After heating them, don't touch them on anything or they'll stick like glue and you'll have a mess.Touch to your ear, and if too hot, then wait another 10 seconds.Press in ear VERY firmly, and let cool in ear. If you do this, then you'll get a perfect fit first time.Let dry for a couple hours before trying to use them.Get a FawkesBOX and put your phone in there while not using. I only use the inner copper sleeve, not the outer metal tin. The sleeve blocks almost all the radiation, and you can still get messages.

The concept is solid; the moldable ear pieces were easy to fit. The process involves boiling water, soaking for five minutes, allowing to cool for about 30-45 seconds, then pressing them in. There are videos on youtube, and it was not hard to figure out. I did not feel rushed and had plenty of time to mold it to fit well, as I did one at a time. For the earpiece, I give it a solid 5-stars.The 3- stars are for the cable; I hate the cable. It is the flat ribbon type with a pvc or rubber exterior that if you are sweating sticks to you like velcro, for this price point I would have expected a braided fabric sheath.The sound quality is ok, not great but not bad either, and the noise isolation is astoundingly good. My next purchase I will try just buying the ear molds without the earbuds form Decibullz.
