Would this fit a 2016 Vw Jetta 1.8l?

I use it in a Jetta TDI 2006 engine BRM 1.9 and works great and about a 2016 1.8 Jetta I don't know. If you don't have the manual, Google it and look for your specific car specs, good luck.

Yes. This filter is correct for MK6 2.0 TDI engines 2010-2013. Even though the Amazon fitment on this page says it doesn't fit my 2013 Jetta TDI. It does fit.

What is the Micron rating for this filter?

I have no idea what the micro rating of the filter is but it is equivalent to the OEM filters and may actually be an OEM filter.
