Peter Potamus premiered in syndication courtesy of the masters of funny animals, Hanna-Barbera. Accompanied by his monkey sidekick, So-So, Peter Potamus crisscrosses the globe (and history!) in his preferred mode of travel, a magical flying balloon. Always ready to land and lend a hand, Peter has hilarious adventures in Egypt, France, Morocco and other global "fun spots" and whenever he and So-So get into trouble (and they always do), he's prepared with his mighty Hippo Hurricane Holler. Sharing the show are Breezly and Sneezly, a polar bear and seal, loveable layabouts dedicated to breaking INTO the local arctic army base and Yippee, Yappee, and Yahooey, a trio of slapstick swashbuckling palace guards pledged in service to the long-suffering king. Featuring voice work by Daws Butler, Don Messick, Howard Morris, Mel Blanc, John Stephenson, Doug Young and Hal Smith, The Peter Potamus Show is a time-capsule to classic kid animation.

Peter Potamus Collection is Ideal!
Superb! WB Archive has outdone itself. All complete 23 episodes are included here with their original Brezzly and Sneezly, and Yippe, Yappee and Yahooey segments. Each episode has the original opening and closing with the IDEAL toys sponsorship intact! No Screen Gems logo, however (a minor quibble). The four additional Peter Potamus shorts that were done when the show moved to ABC in 1966 are included here as one episode. Picture quality: there's a bit of debris that shows from time to time, but the color is excellent! Audio comes through loud and clear. The original B&W curtain call segment, as well as the revised color segment when the Breezly segments were swapped with the Magilla Gorilla show's Ricochet Rabbit (for ABC) are both included as supplements (not integrated into the episodes). Well done. Now if we could only have Quick Draw McGraw!

Peter Potamus flys and New Adventures of Huck Finn soars to far hights!!!
THe Peter Potamus SHow has adeligtful combination of animated shorts and The New Adventures of Huck Finn has a delightful combination of live action and animation too! The Peter Potamus show has a great combinstion of old opening footage and old trailer footage that completes the animatinated show giving a whole program to view while theMagilla Gorilla was not completly restored. Also the Adventures of Huck Finn is mint condition and is very ambitious in nature. It"s llive action and animation footage is dazzling too the eye! as are the characters from Mark Twain"s stories. I give 5 stars for the newAdventures of Huck Finn and 4 stars for The Peter Potamus show! I'm glad to have both shows! t

Saturday morning cartoons as it's best. What a time I had back then
No, Do not order this DVD set if you don't want to go back to your childhood in the mid 1960's. Saturday morning cartoons as it's best. What a time I had back then. Men going into space, The Munsters and Addams Family on tv, and of course, all the classic cartoons. This set brings back all those memories and those Hanna Barbera sound effects! Too much fun.Quality is great even though there are a few lines still on the cells. Now if the could release Wally Gator and Hokey Wolf next to complete the set.

Keep them coming!!!!!
I'm going to make this short. People should know the deal by now. This is just like the other releases from WB Archive. Cleaned up and restored. It looks great on HDTVs. I did not have any issues with the audio either. 27 episodes spread out on 3 discs. Keep them coming WB Archive. Please finish the Mr. T cartoon and please give us the Paw Paw Bears. And if you have it, give us Turbo Teen.

Cartoon Treasure from the Sixties
This CD is such a 'blast from the past' if you were a kid in the 60s. It's just like being in front of the TV on Saturday morning, and even better now, since we only had a black-and-white set! The extras on all the Hanna Barbera Classic Series Collection are like archaelogical treasures from childhood! I hope they can get copyright clearances now for the complete Quick Draw McGraw series- I would love to see Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy again!

Get It For Breezly And Sneezly
I haven't watched the entire set yet, but I've loved it so far. Not much of a fan of Yippee, Yappee, and Yahooey, but I love the Breezly and Sneezly cartoons. They are among my all time favorites. Even more than the Peter Potamus cartoons - which are good as well.
