It's rare that I write reviews anymore...but as I was standing at my sink doing dishes at 10 PM--without feeling completely exhausted--I had to stop what I was doing and write a review for this amazing product. I was just looking for a way to tolerate foods and avoid "issues" since I have developed a number of food allergies over the years. I was out of my go-to, and they no longer made it, so I was on the search for something that was as close to equal as possible. I WAS NOT EXPECTING EVERYTHING TO CHANGE. You guys!! Now, not only do I tolerate almost everything I'm allergic to, I have ENERGY, like, I must not have been absorbing ANY nutrients, because every day for me I felt like I was walking on loose sand...you know, the kind you trudge through with your hands full after leaving the beach with your stuff? And you feel like you're barely moving? Not the easy, mostly flat, wet sand. That was my all day every day for nearly 12 years. I NO LONGER FEEL LIKE THAT. I HAVE ENERGY TO WORK OUT. I AM NOT HUNGRY ALL THE TIME (I'm assuming I was extra hungry because though obese (due to no energy from not absorbing nutrients from my food), my body was STARVING. I have been walking almost double the amount of steps per day since I started. Sometimes more. Since I'm absorbing nutrients, I also noticed I'm not eating as much, and I have lost approximately 10 lbs. in the past two months. Y'all, this isn't a weight loss thing, but boy, when your body isn't starving from inability to absorb nutrients, it is AMAZING how much easier it is to put down the fork and have the extra energy to MOVE. SO, I can't say this is how it will be for everyone, but I just had to say thank you to the people at Thorne...you guys, between the Omega3-COQ10 and these Enzymes, I feel like I'm getting my life back. This was NOT what I expected when I took a chance with it. Thank you. One little con: for everyone new to this product, it takes a little trial and error for what your body can tolerate. The first few days I took it as directed and began to feel like there was a lump growing in my throat. I realized it could be causing acid reflux (like I didn't need quite that much dosing-wise). So I tapered and then when I knew I was going to be eating something I knew my body struggled with, I would take 2. If not, I would only take 1 or forego it altogether, again depending on what it was. As a result, that lump feeling/reflux went away, and it has been working perfectly ever since. But that is just my personal experience, not a direction for how to use it. Of course, as the bottle says, work with your doctor...I am NOT one. But as I am between doctors and I couldn't wait around for a suggestion since I was out of my old digestive enzymes, I stumbled on this, and I am ever so grateful I did.

Great for people with gallbladder issues, or lack of one.

Just started taking these. I have a list of digestive issues. I’ve used other enzymes before but these are the first ones that don’t give me stomach gurgles and i don’t feel that awfulness sometimes after eating like i used to. I know it says take 1-2 but I’ve only done one at meals. I like the quality of Thorne products and so far so good. No complaints.

This product literally changed my life, probably even saved it. I really hope that anyone with major digestive/irritable bowel/gaseousness and blockage in their intestines/bloating reads this. I was diagnosed, well actually after all the tests, my doctor said to me "well it seems like you might have irritable bowel because all the other test came out negative. We have no definitive answer for you but it probably is that." I was lucky enough to come upon activated charcoal in the late 90s which saved me from going to the ER over and over again based off of eating different foods like broccoli squash pizza hot cheese fried foods any kind of gaseous vegetables squeezed juices, acidic salad dressings, the random vinegar attack, and then all the other times where I could not diagnose what it was but my intestines inflated in such a way that it looks like I was pregnant. This was not a stomach issue, this was dealing with my intestines. It was so incredibly painful, a friend suggested that I go get a: hydrotherapy. I did and for two reasons this is one of the best things that I ever decided to do. The girl working it but only understood my problem because she had the same, but she suggested something to change my life. It was this exact product. She challenged me to get off charcoal which was very scary to me because it had become apart of my life for over 15 years where families and friends were so scared if I didn't have it, they would stop their own cars and houses with it. It was that bad for me. There are other times that it wasn't as bad, and I would just get the bloating but then I would have to undo my pants and I would be very embarrassing in public. So the girl that I worked with with: hydrotherapy, down in San Diego if anyone wants a referral, suggested I take these and I'm not kidding, within four months I was after article as well as not taking these every time I ate a meal. I will tell you that it does pay to stay on them I was somewhat consistent basis because essentially at the end of the day, what these give you is it restores your body with digestive enzymes that allow your body to break down food and digest it with your body wasn't doing actually. Now, I really take them and keep in my purse just in case. This is not short of a miracle, I never thought I would actually be able to get away from activated charcoal and live a normal life. I now live happily healthy and grateful for the suggestion. I challenge anyone he's too scared to take them. Two at every meal for at least a few months and then see the difference as you wean yourself off. Generally, this really does work . Wishing you all success!

O.K. but it is high cost

These biogest were highly recommended a by both my functional medicine doctor and my bio resonance doctor and I have found them to be great for exactly with they do - help produce enzyme to help digestion and therefore reduce inflammation and overall stress on the body - so many health benefits to this. My husband and I have been taking and now my muem is converted, we all feel the benefits - really good quality product.

These are expensive but great. If you have gallstones, low bile flow and/or low stomach acid take these with moderate or large sized meals (or small fatty meals would need them too). Make sure you eat immediately as they can’t be in an empty stomach due to the acids that are meant to digest the food (not your stomach lining!).

Absolutely fantastic for those suffering from poor digestion due to lower stomach acid, sluggish liver and food intolerances/sensitivities. I have not found a more effective product than this anywhere.

These are very good pills for digestion. I had to buy another bottle!
