I like the fact that you can configure the measurements to display in inch/decimal in addition to inch/fractional and metric. Really wish the inch/fractional was configurable to degree of precision instead of being locked to 32nds and also the fractions are hard to read because of its small font. A common problem of laser rulers.Although you can use it in constant measure mode you have to keep one of the buttons pressed to do it which makes things cumbersome in that mode.I bought this because my last unit, a Bosch, had the same two problems in inch/fraction mode and this Leica unit has inch/decimal. The old unit however had a constant read mode which did not require holding down a button. So I now have two units I don't love.

Don't buy any Leica product. Their support system and warranty is useless. The plastic is so weak that a month after I purchased it the little plastic piece that holds the batteries broke off and it can't hold the batteries in. Luckily I found my Bosch laser, which works perfectly for many years now.

Can't change to metric!??

I’m giving this 4 stars only because the buttons are hard to use compared to the Bosch. However it’s supper accurate. And works well with xactimate. Also it’s does feet and inches. Seen a comment that it don’t. It do. Just hold the two buttons down and change it in the menu.
