The Fudenosuke Calligraphy Pen is ABSOLUTELY HANDS DOWN AMAZING. It creates beautiful hand lettering! The dual brush pens are also an essential in my hand lettering arsenal! They are super quality! I have been using my same set for over a year and it's still fresh and going strong! These also hold up very well for the " BEGINNER HAND LETTERER TIP ABUSE " lol. It's expected! But these will hold up well! I highly recommend this set and all Tombows products.

I decided to buy this set after I made the decision to learn calligraphy as one of my New Years resolutions. I was a little hesitant at first after reading the reviews because a few people said the brush pen started fraying a bit after a few uses. I am VERY particular about writing utensils to the point that I bring my own pens to use at work. I literally can’t use anything other than the Paper Mate Flair pens or Sharpies just because my handwriting is basically ineligible otherwise and I put so much pressure on the page when writing that I often leave indentions or poke holes through paper when using a ballpoint pen or pencil. With that being said, this pen set is everything I hoped for. The brush pen is great and takes some getting used to when you are used to putting a lot of pressure on a page while writing like I do. The grey brush pen adds a great little flair to anything you write with any of the pens and I use it quite often. I liked the dual permanent marker pen is fine, but I reach for it the least amount of the set. The holy grail and unsung hero of this set is the fudenosuke pen. It is truly everything I’ve ever wanted in a pen, which makes me sound like a crazy person, but it writes like a dream and makes my handwriting look damn good. I love it so much that I ordered a pack of two on their own. So if you’re feeling skeptical about buying this set, don’t be. You will be happy that you did - promise!

I love the tombow Fudenosuke pen with the firm but flexible brush tip. I was looking for a good set to recommend to students of a Hand Lettering club. This is the one I settled on. The value is great and it has everything you need. Also, there are a lot free practice sheets on Tombow's website if you search them out, they aren't hard to find. My photo is one of their practice sheets for the dual tip pen. It is a larger brush pen and you can do a lot with it and add details with the fine tip on the other side. The sketch pencil and eraser are nice too, and a good reminder that sketching is usually the first step to a nice hand lettered design! Buy this set. Get started and have fun!

Good value and the tools are fine, but definitely requires some knowledge beyond the little instruction pamphlet that comes with it to actually start hand lettering. I found the free materials on Tombow's website but I feel like you can't rely entirely on those either. But good if you already know a bit of calligraphy!

This is well put together, the glitter is great quality and the tools are well made. I advise you not to buy this for young ages. IT MAKES A MESS! My husband gave it to our ten year old and said "Go for it!" I came home to what looked like a massive glitter explosion. It wasn't just on the bathroom counter...it was on the mirror, the walls, the floor, the rug, her face! Her clothes were ruined from the nail polish remover she was TRYING to use to take off the glitter that she couldn't get to work. She was WAY too young for this. This is perfect for older children...adults.....just not young children! Lol This is Dad's fault, not the products. I love the product but good grief...I should have taken pictures! Lol.. What a mess it was!! :)

This Tombow set is all one needs to get started learning brush lettering. First, I compared less popular brands of brush pens to Tombow pens. The Tombow pens wrote smoothly and the color was rich. This set offered the most options for finding my groove with pressure as a complete starter kit. I was able to test the firmness of both types of brush pens with the least investment. The pencil for lightly sketching and the eraser are added bonuses. There is even a cute little guild sheet and directions obtaining for practice sheets included. It's a great set and I learned Tombow will be my favorite brush pens from now on.

I'm a newbie at lettering and this set is a brilliant starting point. The pens are high quality and look beautiful. There's even a quite to lettering. Very happy with the purchase.

Prima Einsteiger-Set. Auf das Radiergummi hätte ich verzichten können, aber früher oder später kommt er auch noch zum Einsatz. Insofern gut durchdacht.
