Winchester Lever Action Repeating Firearms, Vol. 3, The Models of 1894 and 1895

Got this book as a reference resource when I recently bought my 1894. It is packed full of information down to the very last detail. Well put together and chock full of illustrations to go with the text. It is an excellent value for the price if you wanted to know everything about the history and construction of the Winchester 94-95.

In addition the paper plans a book."There's a lot we don't know," he told the National Association of Realtors convention in Washington. This reference book identifies each part down to the screws for different calibers & for different years produced. The appendices also have very important historic information

Well researched and well written for the collector of the Winchester Model 1895 and 1894. This book describes all the original parts and what to look for. I will never leave this book behind when I attend a gun show. Detailed drawings and descriptions of every original scew, pin, sight, barrel, stocks, butt plates, proof marks etc... Serial number list references dates of manufacture.Easy to read and understand by the novice collector with enough information for the completely seasoned collectors satisfaction.

Great and detailed information

The potential reader should know that this book is long on the technical aspects of the Winchester '94 but short on the history. It is essentially a presentation of details and variations in very minute detail. The collector will like this. but those interested in the history and drama of the ultimate Winchester Lever Gun will find this purely technical work wanting.
