If you're looking for a quality color changing LED spa light, to replace an old T4/E11 Halogen bulb, look no further. I installed this bulb on April 9th 2022 and it has worked seamlessly since. It doesn't need and additional equipment, like a remote or transformer. It works with the original light switch. Its also syncs with other compatible bulbs on the same circuit. The olny issue I had was during the installation. When removing the original bulb from the fixture. I found that there were 2 metal prongs that kept the original bulb centered in the fixture. The metal prongs had to be removed before the new bulb could be installed. They need to be cut as close as possible to provide enough room for the new bulb (its a tight fit) Other than that the instalation was simple.

The media could not be loaded. This bulb fit into a Pentair Aqualight 77168100 with a Pentair 79113800 bulb. The original bulb was 250 watt E11 halogen. I was pleased to find out that this bulb was an awesome upgrade for the old power hungry, often burnt out 79113800 bulbs. It gave enough color changing light for our 11,000 gallon pool. It worked great changing colors with the original switch circuit (no need for a fancy controller or flaky wifi remotes). I carefully bent back the old metal prongs that previously stabilized the halogen bulb to fit this bulb in. See the one minute - green to blue program in the video.2023-05 Update:Light continues to work great and as expected. We love the color changing all year around green to blue programming.

Bought to replace old lights in Pentair spa light housing and this bulb will not physically fit due to depth. Had to return and purchase a more expensive option. Buyer beware.

I scoured high and low for a LED replacement for my Pentair spa light that uses a T4 250 watt 120 volt screw in Halogen. This is the only option I could find. As other have said, I had to bend the wire halogen bulb holders down so they were almost flush with the bottom of the light housing, so this could screw in. Flipping the breaker on my system (no light switch installed), changes the color pattern. Surprising bright at night, as I wasn’t sure how bright the pool would look after turning it on in the daytime.

This bulb pretty much does exactly what it says on the tin. The only thing to call out that may be a little bit surprising and less than ideal is that it does not come with remote control. So, in order to set the color, you have to play a game of turning it on and off and counting a certain number of seconds as you do that. If you don’t take it too seriously about it having to be a specific color, then this is not a big deal. If you are a stickler and expecting to always have it be purple or your favorite color, you may be annoyed. If your pool light is not remotely controllable, that makes it even more annoying to try to get the color exactly as you want it to be since you would have to be outside the pool not enjoying the hot tub while you do this. I gave it four stars with one star deducted because of the difficulty of setting the color, but based on the research I’ve done, there isn’t another light that uses the same smaller connector that does come with a remote so this is pretty much the only game in town for this size bulb that I understand is common for Spas.

Have had it installed for a day and the light works great. It will rotate throught the colors but I found the trick to keep it on one color. You flip the light of and back on quickly during that color. I put it on the aqua blue and it looks awesome.

The original E11 bulb in my Pentair pool light was harsh and unattractive, so when it burned out recently I searched for and LED upgrade and was happy to find this bulb at a reasonable cost as it is roughly half of anything else I found. Typically an led is comparable to the wattage of conventional bulb when calculated x 10. So this 15w bulb would be similar to 150w incandescent. My original halogen bulb was a 250w harsh and unattractive look, so I figured that this would be an improvement in intensity along with color options. I did not read close enough to understand that this bulb has no remote included and without is controlled by flipping the switch on then off and back on again method to cycle the color/show modes. Well, I’ll just say this is not that simple and I am able to get blue, red, green and 1 show. The intensity by color is also very inconsistent, blue is a very soft glow, the green is much more intense and red is about as dim as a bulb can be and has zero effect on the pool water. Thankfully, it always turns on with a blue light and this has the best look, so I’ll never change it. I was hoping for better.

Easy replacement for halogen bulb Q250CL/MC for inground pool using smaller sized light housing (commonly used in spas). I was able to remove the metal reflector in my Hayward base using my pinky finger to accommodate the width of the LED bulb. Confirm T4, E11, 120 Volts - Mini Candelabra Base.I didn't purchase the switch/control but have found it simple to change the colors and patterns by flipping the light switch on an off. Similar to other comments some of the colors are brighter than others and I wish it was brighter, but am overall happy with the simple conversion from halogen to LED without replacing the entire unit, low cost simple change.
