nuLOOM Sky Machine Washable Global Inspired Ultra Thin Area Rug, 8' x 10', Rust

This rug exceeded my expectations! The colors are vibrant and with multiple pets, throwing it in the washer is fantastic!

COLOR/APPEARANCE:I have a couple of real wood rugs in "rust" color" and this one fits right in - definitely rust color! It is somewhat washed out but this was expected from the photos in the listing.HOW IT IS SHIPPED:My rug is 8'x10' and arrived in a large box. It wasn't even heavy, but I was kind of taken aback that it wasn't rolled.... but when I opened the box I figured out why it wasn't rolled... because it is a VERY THIN rug.... almost - if not identical - to those washable bathroom rugs you can use when stepping out of your shower.CREASES:The ad says that after a week the creases will disappear. Well, my rug is on the floor like you see for exactly 12 days now and there are still creases. The areas where the creases are gone are the areas we walk on most often... so there is hope they go away. Considering the thin material, I wondered if ironing them on low would make them go away... but I am not daring to try.VACUUMING:I have a rather weak upright, cable-less lithium battery operated vacuum that does well with every other rug in the house, and yes, does well even on those thin bathroom mats that seems to be of equal thickness and material.... but my vacuumed is still too strong for this material!!!! I vacuumed it after about 5 days for the first time and it just ripped the strands out of the rug!! In one place it made a long streak of ripped out strands! Horrible!!!!I pulled out another, older vacuumed (same idea... lithium operated and quite weak).... same thing happened! So not sure what to do now to clean it.... maybe remove the table and go at it with a broom?!Then there is the stitching around the edges. TWO DAYS after laying out the rug I had two places where the stitching came loose!!!!!!Yes, the seller claims this rug is washable, and I believe it IF IT WOULD FIT IN YOUR WASHING MACHINE!! Maybe it would nicely wash if it is a smaller rug, but a 8"X10" rug would be a big stretch though, and then thinking that ordinary daily use of walking on it destroys the stitching around the edges... what would a wash in a washing machine do?!When pulling out a chair, it doesn't bunch up but this is because I am an adult and pay attention on how I pull out the chair. A child who doesn't pick up the chair but just slides it could certainly bunch up this lightweight rug.So in summary, I am really disappointed in this rug. It DOES protect my LVT flooring though. It is too big to return, and I don't even know if they would take back a rug that I destroyed within 12 days with my vacuumer...Therefore, I give it only 2 stars.

I bought this rug to place between my sink area and my island in my kitchen. It is awesome, easy to clean and looks very nice. The quality is an excellent weave and lays flat. I have a very thin skid resistant pad under it. I recommend this rug and will be buying others for throughout the house. I have not washed it yet, but cannot see any problem following the washing instructions.

I really wanted to love this machine washable option for our living room rug. Initially, I reviewed the rug for 5 stars because of how vibrant and colorful it helped our open concept home become. The pop of orange, blues, and creams worked great in our space and were adaptive for every season. I even purchased a thicker rug pad for under it, because I knew our family (dog, infant, and toddler) would be spending a lot of time on the floor together.Unfortunately, after less than a year of having it, there are clear indications on which sides reside under our sectional versus in the open, which isn’t a very large part of the rug. However, it’s enough to identify wear marks and makes the rug look old and worn. Which is technically not a look I’m loving right now for the price I paid for it.The vibrancy of the dyed fabrics simply went away after what I’d consider little (like, actually little) activity on it. We’ve lasted without big spills and spoils, but I don’t want to know what it’d be like if we had any. The rug just doesn’t seem to bounce back. We hoped to really wash and air dry it, but it didn’t truly help bring the vibrancy back. Unfortunately, I don’t think we will be keeping this rug, and I’ll be in the market for another, more dependable and durable brand.I included pictures The first picture is the vibrant design, followed by a comparison picture of the other side (that was left out from under our sectional). Additional photos identify significant wear line versus no wear line.

It does not look like the pictures. The colors are much brighter and clashing than in the photo.

Was looking for an 8x10 vintage inspired rug for my living room that was washable & didn’t cost an arm and a leg. This was it! Was a bit nervous waiting for the rug to arrive but I’m thrilled! May order another for the dining room.
