25' Vinyl 1/4" Outdoor Patio Sling Spline Furniture Replacement Awning Cord for Sling Chair Spline Repair

Not a lot you can say about a simple coil of 1/4" vinyl spline. It is of proper diameter and length and fit my 16" awning perfectly. That pretty much sums it up.Where things could be improved is in the packaging. It comes in a tightly wound coil of approximately 10" in diameter. I understand that this compact form saves storage and shipping space. But the result is a coil of tubing that when first opened is like a tightly wound spring. With the "slinky" form factor, it was impossible to feed it through 16" feet of tight awning pocket. No, first you need to let it relax as it slowly uncoils. After a day, I then had to stretch it between two anchors and fix it in place for another two days until it had relaxed to a nearly straight length of tubing. Then it was ready to use.But then you hit the next packaging issue. The 25' of tubing is shipped with simple cellophane tape wrapped around two places to hold the coiled shape. This is cheap and effective but once removed it leaves a very sticky residue, probably from being overheated while in storage. So now that the tubing is straight and ready to use, you discover that about every foot or so, there is sticky glue residue that gets hung up inside the awning pocket as you try and slide the 16' length through the narrow space. The solution is to use a rag with some adhesive remover to clean the length of tubing.Once cleaned and straightened, the tubing could then be installed and the awning rehung. Obviously, both of these issues are solvable, you just need to allow for several days of prep before using.I realize my experience is based on a sample of one, so YMMV.
