Perfect!
This was exactly what we needed to enjoy camping when our state park had a burn ban. My favorite part was how it put out a great amount of heat, and even when you turn it off, the rocks remain very, very hot so you can still enjoy the heat, even when the fire is off.

It’s wonderful!
Easy to set up and use. Basically you take it out of the box and it’s ready to go after you add propane tank. I think we got one of the good ones. Lit on first try, large flame variations, meaning low runs with a tiny flame and high run with about a 6-8 inch high flame (3-5 inches above rocks). We ran it pretty high first night for about 4 hours and barely used any fuel. Lava rocks eventually burn red hot and some get sooty like coal. Throws great heat, even on low. We love it. Wish we bought one long ago. We did get this on sale for $117.00 but I would pay full price, totally worth it!We used it on our deck, under a patio umbrella. It was on the floor and umbrella was cantilever type. Umbrella didn’t get hot but we were sure to check it often and had extinguishers handy just in case. It’s a solid construction and looks very nice. Came with lots of rocks, not stingy at all. You can hear it but it just sounds like a fire to me, well, probably more like a BBQ.We didn’t get a bag or cover but wish we had, we’ll probably order the bag type carrier/storage.This review was written after one night of use.

Excellent camping accessory during drought season
We got this specifically to take camping with us since there was a fire ban at the campground we had booked for months prior. Part of camping is the fire and I we didn't want to cancel our trip or be without the fire, so we purchased this since a gas fire was allowed. I was so happy we did. We were the only ones in the campground with one and it worked beautifully!! we even got to roast our marshmallows and hotdogs on it. AND we didn't have to pay the exorbitant fire wood fees. so a big win for us.It was really easy to put together, and every thing came with it except the gas tank which we just used the one from our trailer. It lasted the whole week with no issues at all.I would recommend

Small, well made, and the right size/quality flame for an evening with a few friends
So you want a modest fire to peer into on a starry night while drinking a beer with a few friends? You could find or buy firewood, take time lighting it, avoid breathing smoke, and tend it or douse it until it goes out then go to bed smelling strongly of smoke. OR you could turn a dial, light the thing and get on with your revelry or deep conversations. When you're ready to go to bed, turn it off instantly with a twist of the wrist and you will not smell like wood smoke. Seriously, it really does take a lot of the headache out of having a fire. I have found I use this fire pit even for fifteen or twenty minutes because it is so simple to start and stop it. Just the other night, I was enjoying a fire when my daughter texted me to pick her up. No problem - I turned the fire off and was on my way.PROS: easy, fast, well built, no smoke, and the flames really do dance like a wood fire. It's inexpensive enough to leave out in the rain although I made a cover for mine by inverting half a barrel over the entire ring including the dial.CONS: a wood fire can always be made bigger. This pit can't although it does range from low flame to high flame. This is not an effective fire if you're going to have more than four people around it. It just doesn't generate enough heat and it's simply not big enough. It obviously doesn't have the crackling and sparkling that are a part of the mesmerizing experience of a wood fire. All in all, I love it! If you don't mind making the trade off's I mention above, go for a propane fire pit. This is a great quality one.

Fire pit
The fire pit arrive early, which is awesome. Intend to use it for camping when there’s a fire ban. But for now I use it on my patio for now. It put out a good amount of heat, great for chilly evenings. It was really easy to set up,it only thing I can complain about ,is that it says you get 3 bags of lava rocks and one spare one,but the kit only came with two. That why I gave it 4/5 rating.
