Solid Build but Not Straight
I bought these thinking that the round part was the same width from top to bottom, it isn't. The round part is tapered and gets wider as it goes down from the top. I ended up not liking the overall height so my intention was to cut it shorter but then the fixture would not fit.The other issue is that the bonding jumper is too short. It barely reaches the top of the mount meaning that you have to try and reach inside to splice the bonding jumper to the equipment grounding conductor. A few more inches of wire is needed and should be included for this price. Otherwise they are very well made and look great.

Perfect post light mounts!
Bought 4 of these mounts for the post lights we put on the back wall of our new pool. Easy to install and solid!

Do Not Fit into standard 3" female post lamp
The manufacturing tolerances are terrible and the male part is too big and does not fit into a standard 3" female post lamp. DO NOT BUY

Fits lights, but not post.
Saw a couple of reviews that said they didn't fit a standard 3" post, but I liked the look of these bases, so I bought 3 of them anyway. The top part of the base needs machined to be round (poor manufacturing) and I'll have a local machine shop make spuds to sleeve between the base and post. It'll look great once finished, but of course I'd rather not have to go through the extra expense and effort. Just beware if you are using with a post!

Heavy duty material
This is just the right weight and size, the base was heavy enough for the heavy light pole that fits well. Mounts right into the wood planks with heavy wood drilling bolts. You can also use it for stone or concrete with a masonary bolt/drill bit.Nice color and looks like it will last with the protective coating on it. I hope this last as long as it looks, time will tell.
