Bad experience with USA Spec
Good product if it consistently worked. Mine stopped working and when I contacted USA spec for warranty they told me that because I bought the product on Amazon they wouldn't honor any warranty. I've had the product for 6 months and provided them with my Amazon purchase invoice. The cost to repair or fix I was told was a range of $40 to $70. I question the build quality on this device due to their unwillingness to stand by their product. To make matters worse, the CSR was very condescending and rude in his interaction with me.This is the first time I have ever posted a review on Amazon but I felt it is necessary.

Great Unit - Disable the Voice!
This thing works very well. It definitely is better quality than the Grom bluetooth unit I had installed originally. The ridiculously loud "connected" sound this thing makes on connection each time you get in the car can be shut off by doing this (which is from USA SPEC's customer service):While your phone is streaming music, turn Bluetooth off on your phone. Press the SEEK/TRACK or TUNE “LEFT/BACK”button until your hear the “Voice Disabled” message. Make sure the volume is set to a reasonable level so you can hear the announcement.

FIX!! 10 months later failed... Lexus es350
Works exactly as it says! The only reason I am writing this review is because it finally failed(kinda) after 10 months. One day it just up and stopped working... I could connect but no sound. The fix was easy. Mine came from the factory with the dip switches set to satellite, according to the manual. I used the setting because I don’t have sat radio in my Lexus es350. I pulled the bt45-toy out and check to make sure the dip switches were still in the proper orientation(they were). I looked at the manual and set the dip switches to “cdc” not sure if that meant CD player, but I tried it and it worked... only on sat tho.If your hesitant to get this, don’t be! It is truly a great Bluetooth that you don’t need to worry about connecting every time you get in the vehicle because it does it automatically. If you buy this and it fails on you down the road, adjust the dip switches to a different setting to see if it works or not... mine did and I’m sure it will for others who have the same problems...

Just DO it!
My wife's '08 Lexus has Bluetooth but it's for phone functions only. After reaching several options for this vehicle, the two more popular being about $100 more, I thought I'd go ahead and give this a shot.Install was easy enough, with most of the work being disassembly of the center stack and routing the wires for the module back under the center stack. Actual connections were cake! Plug and play.I set the unit to emulate Sat radio and it works great. All the steering wheel controls work as they should to skip tracks and control volume.Overall I'm very pleased with the functionality and ease of install and would definitely do it again.I also bought the USB/AUX module that shows up at the bottom as "what others bought". Again, super easy install and seamlessly functions as it should.

When I first installed the device (with the box behind the radio) it worked fine for a few days
This device (now) works very well in my 2005 (2nd gen) Prius, but it has been an extended process to get to this point. If you read on, you should be able to avoid some of my mistakes. First, let me say that I coupled this device with this the USB Mount Cable - Rerii 1M 3 Feet USB and 3.5mm Aux Extention Mount, Flush, Dash, Panel Mount Cable for Car, Boat, Motorcycle , which conveniently lets me charge my phone or plug in an audio source via the AUX input. I went to YouTube and found a video showing how to install a similar device in my model vehicle. It was very helpful, but did not include the following info:My problems with this device stem from the fact that the unit/box is somewhat bulky. When I first installed the device (with the box behind the radio) it worked fine for a few days. Then I started experiencing what I call 'intermittent mute.' The entire stereo--radio, CD, BT--was completely silent. The screen showed that the radio was playing, but no sound. Eventually, the muteness went beyond intermittent and all my drives were in silence. Not cool.I ended up taking the dash apart a few times and came to the conclusion that the bulky box was putting pressure on a wire or the connector from the stereo to the speakers. I tried a few minor adjustments to placement with similar results. What eventually worked for me was to place the unit *BELOW* the radio unit. On my Prius there is a bit of space behind the pocket that hangs below the radio. Putting the box there seems to leave more space behind the radio where the connections are made, and my radio (and the BT unit) now work as they should. If you are installing this in a different model car, you can probably find a similar spot. For any other 2nd gen Prius folks: Immediately to the right of the radio is a silver piece of the dash that contains the vent. This piece must be removed in the installation process for the BT unit, and this is where I installed the USB/AUX port that I bought separately. (Mine was Rerii, but there are lots of similar items available for a few bucks.) You must drill the hole for the port rather low--see the bottom right corner of my photo. If you place it too high, the backside of the port will knock into the parts of the structure behind the dash panel and you will not be able to get the dash panel back in place. I *think* I drilled the hole with a 1&1/8" drill bit.Hope this helps!
