Useful and functional - highly recommend
Rarely do I write a review but this is useful and functional in many aspects. This is the first time I have ordered it and I have already put it into use - I am using it as a business/personal planner and as it is intended - as a spiritual journal. This helps me to make sure my faith life is incorporated into all aspects of my life and that I live the liturgical rhythm throughout the year. I could not find a good description about the contents so here are some details. There is plenty of room in this planner to include business, personal appointments and spiritual journey. Each month has a month view with feast days to write in your appointments, birthdays, etc in a month at a glance perspective. Each week has a couple of "retreat" pages with the Sunday readings and plenty of room for journaling. In addition, each week has a morning, afternoon and evening grid to write in appointments with a "notes" section and a "to do list" section. Again lots of space. There are lots of pages for notes in the back and the back cover has a compartment for some storage. It is well worth the money. I have always used a Catholic calendar but this one is much more interactive - it is more than a calendar. I plan to use The Catholic Planner from now on. I hope this helps with your buying decision.

Excellent product with only one minor downside.
The planner is a very useful tool as both a planner and a journal. I find it useful for many reasons. I've listed both the pros and the con below. However, if you are looking for something with daily or weekly reflections or a large amount of scripture or journal space look elsewhere. This is a combo journal/planner. It's the perfect one stop carry with you tool to both plan and journal. If your looking for a prayer meditation tool I recommend a subscription to the "Magnificat" or the "Word Among Us"THE PROs1. The "Weekly Retreat" page is an great space to use in prayer for journalling and it also has a great little section on the bottom right where you can put in Rituals and Habits you want to work on and it gives you check boxes to see if you're really doing it or not!2. The weekly calendar page it is not divided up hour by hour like most daily or weekly planners are but this one is divided into three sections morning, afternoon and evening. I find this extremely good because I always struggle with the "I must be busy doing something every hour of every day", I call it the "Fill the white space" mentality. This prevents that while still allowing you to schedule and plan your day as necessary.3. The "To Do List". I really like the fact that this planner does NOT have a single large to do list. It is a bit of effort but each week you have to recopy your to do list to the next week. Which in my opinion is great because it gets me to say to myself, "I'm writing this again??? Why haven't I done this yet???"4. The built in envelope in the back is fantastic. I have a prayer card, and a list of all the people I pray for.5. The two ribbons. It's great having two one for the week I'm on and one for the upcoming full month calendar.THE CONsI've got one really big con I wish they would fix. Please please in the 2019 iteration (I have the 2017 and now the 2018) add at the end a full month calendar for January and February, not the weekly but the full month pages. It would add 4 sheets the planner which is not much. The reason being is that in November '17 if I have to put something on the calendar for February '18 or January '18 I can't because I don't want to carry two full sized planners around with me.

An aid in daily scheduling as well as planning your spiritual life
A cross between a journal and calendar. A monthly page precedes the division of the weekly pages for that same month. There is plenty of room for meeting notes or lists. Also, space is provided for personal thoughts, goals, and ideas on scripture readings from the Sunday liturgy called their mini retreat before each week begins. This books includes suggestions to visit their website CatholicPlanner.com and Facebook help as well as daily checklists for rituals/habits like exercise, daily Mass, etc.of your choosing that help keep your life in balance. They do not disappoint in their claim----great ideas for your path to sainthood. This would make a wonderful present!

Is it 2018 yet?
If there are two things I love, it's being Catholic and office products. I'm so excited to start using this planner. At the beginning of each week, it has a place to do some Journaling and reflecting, which I really need to start doing. The planner has lots of free space for notes and lists, so I can eliminate about three other notebooks I have floating around. I'm currently gussying up the planner with some washi tape, and it looks super cute too. Can't wait for 2018! It's going to be a good year. :)
