I purchased this pre-owned device at the end of February 2024, and it was delivered in March 2024. Despite normal usage, primarily for work emails, the motherboard has failed. While sending emails, the device abruptly shut down and has not turned back on. I contacted the seller, 'Coretek Computers Renewed,' and they were unable to assist. Disappointed, to say the least.

April 2022 Update: This is our "surf from the couch" computer that sees use probably 3-4 days a week. Still works just fine. We haven't had any issues with the keyboard, screen, wifi, or anything. It's still working as well as the day we unboxed it. ------------------ There is a lot we like about this laptop-- if you want to skip tot he only thing we don't like, it's that if you start doing a lot of work (streaming video, playing games, having a few different applications open at once while on a Zoom call, etc.), it heats up pretty quickly and you get tot listen to the constant hum of the fans. If you're usually only using this for one or two things at once and not asking a lot of the computer, it's silent and the fans never kick on. So, what we like about it: -The size: It's compact enough that it is super easy to travel with -Thickness: When you stow this in a bag, it really doesn't take up much rom. In fact, it's so thin that the USB port on the size sort of folds open to use it -The keyboard: The keys are backlit, feel solid, and have good feedback for typing. There is a muffled click with each press, but it is discernible and works well -The built in finger print reader: The power button doubles as a finger print reader. Open the lid, want for the screen to fire up, and lightly rest your finger on the reader. Boom, you're in. It's consistent and fast with very few "Oops, try again" errors -The screen: Nice and bright with a thin bezel that takes full advantage of the limited space -Quiet: Like I said, unless it gets warm and the fans kick in, it's silent -Fast boot up: 8GB of RAM and a solid state hard drive means this boots up in seconds -USB-C power supply: We can take one beefy USB-C charger with us when we travel and that'll charge this laptop, our phone, and whatever other gizmos we have that run off of USB-C -Very minimal "bloatware" or extra software from Dell that no one wants. They kept this build pretty clean. What is "Meh": -Size of keyboard: There is no getting around this, the laptop is smaller, so the keys are a bit smaller. I can still type nearly as fast as a full sized keyboard on it, but you will not confuse this for a full sized keyboard -Limited ports: This has 2 USB-C ports (technically a USB-C and a lightning port-- which has a bit more bandwidth for certain accessories), one HDMI port, one full sized USB-A port, and a headphone jack. That's it. If you travel with a ton of accessories, you better invest in a dock or take advantage of the bluetooth -The display: it's 1920x1200-- for the size of this screen, it is more than adequate. The pixels are small enough that everything still looks darn crisp. But, the resolution is nothing to brag about. Also, it's not a touch screen, but that's fine by me. The bad: -It comes with Mcafee: It starts off free, but eventually turns into a subscription. I uninstalled it immediately. -Man, it really is just that it heats up quick if you are streaming in the background while knocking out a couple of other tasks. That's the only bad mark I can find with this hardware. Overall, this is a fantastic laptop for travel or even a second computer at the house since it takes up so little space. The small keyboard size would make me hesitate for using this as my daily driver-- but for most all of the specs, this laptop is no slouch.

The specs on the i5 model of this laptop are obviously designed to compete with Apple's entry level machines and the Dell's cost a little less. I love Apple products but my job has evolved over the years and I find myself having to use windows more and more. This machine is a lot faster than the specs would have you believe. The i5 performs like a champ and the video card can get by on basic Photoshop work, probably because it utilizes a fast SSD for virtual memory. The screen is fantastic. It's bright and clear, and the matte finish makes it easy to see in bright light. The keyboard is pretty decent, although it feels like the deck has some flex. It might just be me, but I feel like it's curved up ever so slightly. The track pad is okay, but no whereas good as an apple track pad. To be fair, no one else can compete in that department. The battery life is decent and I can get a solid 4 to 5 hours if I'm careful. This has USB-C charging. This has 8 gigs of memory and I'd like to upgrade but the two top corner screws on the back arrived stripped from the factory and won't come out, and only spin when I use my computer repair kit screw bit on them, and that's a shame as it will limit upgradability. This would be an easy 4 star review if this wasn't an issue. Overall, this is a surprisingly good laptop, considering it only has 8 gigs of ram and an i5 processor. I wish Dell's QC was better and the bottom of the laptop would come off.

Dell Inspiron 13 5310, 13.3 Inch FHD (Full HD) + Non-Touch Laptop - Intel Core i5-11300H, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 512GB SSD, Great for elementary kids and people over 40. Short Summary This is perfect for 75% people. powerfully packed in a little 13 inch screen laptop. Surf web and watching movies is great on this device. Color is vibrant. as a budget friendly laptop. this can do everything most people want to do. including light work using Microsoft products. It will even handle light programing work. Finger print access is really convenient and fast. Extremely light and portable with a great battery life. Extended Summary. you must use power supply of 65W or greater. Most common power USB-C are around 45W. just have to be conscious of this limitation. System boots up really fast. and with the finger print access it really flies on start up. Built: Good quality built. Feels solid yet it is very light and very thin. upon opening the lid. the unit will lift up on the screen side to allow natural incline. Keyboard lights up. great for night use. the bezel is really small. on the side it is only 2 quarters thick. on the top it is only 4 quarter thick. this is outstanding for a 13 inch screen. it utilize all the space that it can. as thin as it is. it still has an HDMI port, 2 USBC,1 USB-A and 1 headphone. it has finger print reader and good quality camera for online meetings. no touch screen. Performance. Nova score for this laptop show this is a top dog if place on the entry/budget level laptop. which is where is should. it will even function as low midgrade gaming laptop. this only has 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD. it can be upgraded to 16GB and 2 TB SSD. this would likely increase its score and move it to true mid tier gaming PC. GPU is what holds this laptop back a bit. but for normal folks this is perfectly good enough. Battery life. I am very impressed with it power consumption. took little over an hour to fully charge. I watched a 2 hour movie and it went from 100 to 70%. telling me I still have 5 hours left. this is pretty darn good for a laptop this thin. for 800 bucks this is a great laptop. I am sure it will be on sale for around 600 eventually. that would make this a must buy in my opinion.

Just received the laptop today. I will use the product for personal and business. Like: The sleek light weight to it and seems fast. Dislike: The finger printer sensor do not work at all. My adapter cords was out the box with no plastic wrapping. I will be reaching out to Amazon Asap. Im request a big credit to my account for this Asap.
