My favorite popcorn in the whole wide world
This is a very good price for my favorite popcorn in the whole world. If possible, I would have given it a "10". When I serve popcorn to my friends the response is always the same.....WOW! This is the best price deal that I have been able to find, and it is not available anywhere locally. If you have dentures, this is the popcorn to buy. The kernels are smaller with lots less hulls to stick to your teeth. And the nutty flavor is like nothing you have ever experienced until you try this popcorn. And it makes it much easier for me to keep my weight down. Don't reach for the cookie jar.....pop some popcorn! I use Olive Oil in my popper and sometimes add a little flavoring instead of salt. It is great with Brewer/s yeast, dillweed, chili pepper, smoked paprika, and ranch dry dressing mix. I even steal the cheese packet out of the Mac 'n Cheese. Once you taste it, you will never be happy with any other popcorn.

Even better than I expected
I ordered this popcorn because of reviews at sites that rate healthy snacks, since dietary restrictions mean I can't have salted versions. It is even better than I expected given that it has almost no hulls at all.It pops cleanly and well. I had only 10-12 un-popped kernels in a 2 tablespoon batch, (a good size for a one person snack) and those were due to my sadly old air-popper that ejected the kernels like it was spitting watermelon seeds. It has a satisfying crunch without the tooth-cracking dangers of huge hulls, and an excellent flavor.I will definitely be buying these again!

Great popcorn in an air popper
I was given several varieties of Black Jewel popcorn and a silicone microwave air popper. I love this popcorn! It tastes great air popped plain or with just a tiny bit of oil, and there are very few unpopped kernels left. I ordered this crimson variety when I had used up all the others and will order it again. The black and white varieties of Black Jewel are equally good and I'll buy those again, too. I also like the quantity in this container. It lasts awhile but isn't so much that it's not used up in a reasonable time.

The opposite of no hulls
Pros: Crunchy. Very few unpopped kernels. Mildly nutty flavor.Cons: The false claim it doesn't have hulls. High price.I waffled about giving this popcorn a 3 star rating because the claim of no hulls is just an outright falsehood. In fact, the extra crunch comes from the hulls! Settled on four star because on the upside, the hulls don't seem to ever get stuck between my teeth. That said, I have to use a toothbrush after eating because the little bits of black/red hull stick fiercely to my gum line. I have had other types of popcorn that were truly hull less. Unfortunately, I don't recall the variety.Out of the 2 tablespoons I routinely pop, I only get 4-5 unpopped kernels and a few partials that are edible. The popped corn has a mildly nutty taste as compared to the styrofoam flavor and texture of the regular stuff.

Hull-free Good. Volume So-so. Value So-so
These popcorn jet als to produce, as advertised, a hull-free popcorn. That is a good thing. Very good.On the other hand, you only get about 2/3 the volume from the same measure of kernels as you do with Orville’s.And at a significantly higher price per ounce of raw kernels (and even higher price per cup of popped kernels) only you can determine what’s more important to you.For me, I buy Orville Reddenbachers and get a lot mor cups of popcorn for a lot less money. And then I just brush my teeth after eating the popcorn.
