Fantastic puzzle for two year olds and older. Truly a bridge between the simple “put the wooden shape in the single wooden shape cutout spot” to beginning spatial awareness/ spatial detail matching and visual detail matching of jigsaw puzzles. Four wooden puzzles, each consisting of four pieces. We started with having three pieces already placed correctly in the puzzle, then helping toddler notice details of single loose puzzle piece/ helping toddler rotate loose puzzle piece until it fit. Then gradually moved to two loose pieces, etc. Each four piece puzzle is a different color (fire truck puzzle red, train puzzle blue), so we played sorting colors, counting colors as well. A favorite toy of our grandchild and great for brain development.

My 2.5 year old LOVES this puzzle! It's the perfect challenge for him, he can complete it on his own now. I love the chunky pieces that make it easy for him to put in place (versus cardboard puzzles where he struggles to put the pieces in and out).
