Stay On Satin Edge Bonnet

The bonnet fits great and is comfortable. I use it every night to plop my curly hair. It works perfect!!

Update #3: I washed mine in the washing machine and the band twisted up, it still stays on all night but it's just an unsightly mess and imy hair twisted up with the band! Ouch! (refer to pic) so I bought another one and I will only hand wash this new one.Update #2: go to wal mart, it's cheaper, less than $2.Update: it does pull your edges out so I took another reviewers advice and I flipped it inside out, and it made all of the difference!!It stays on all night, unlike my scarf!! No more, waking up in the middle of the night and readjusting my scarf or feeling around my bed, trying to find my scarf to tie it back on my head, in the dark. Right now, my hair is in a bob wrap. I considered deducting one star because it is super small and the band is very tight so I couldn't wear it if I had braids or any hairstyle with volume but I reconsidered because it could just be that my head is too big and no one is to blame for that, except my parents. ''

These are the only bonnets that will stay on my head overnight! They are made of a thin fabric but I can use the same one for at least 2 months. I hand wash them as well. Best ones I have tried and I have tried many!

If you are sensitive to perfume smell this will give you a headache. I am trying to wash the scent out. It is soaking in the sink as I write this, hope it works. I bought the large and the band was a little snug but I suppose I could get used to it. I guess my main issue is the nasty cheap perfume smell.Update: I tried washing it in a gentle detergent and it did not get the smell out. Then I tried dawn liquid dish detergent for soaking dished in. I thought if this stuff can soak a burnt pan clean it may lift out whatever is making that horrid smell. Worked like a charm. I did soak it all day though but after it dried it was 98% smell free. I love the cap it does stay on and I move around a lot when I sleep.

I wouldn't necessarily call this a "large" "satin" bonnet. It's rather small and the only "satin" part is what's on the outside. It's important to cover your hair with satin before going to sleep, so I flip the bonnet inside out before going to bed. I'm in the house anyway so no one would see.I put flexi rods in my hair and thought I'd be able to cover them......well no. It didn't happen like that. I couldn't even put this "large" bonnet over them. Only half of my hair was covered. I ended up covering my hair with my large satin scarf. I tried using this bonnet with perm rods in my hair as well, it didn't work.The only good thing I'd say about this product is that it stays on and never comes off. For that I give it 5 stars. I did purchase another one trying to get the pinkish color as shown in the picture and got something on the verge on goldfish yellow.

I like this item though the shipping wasn't really worth it, I probably could have bought this in a beauty supply store and saved $4. I wish the size of the cap was made more clear because unfortunately I don't think I'll get much use out of it since it's too small. Admittedly I have long (afro, 4a)hair, but it looks much bigger on the model then it does on my head. I don't think I'll be able to use it at all unless my hair is perfectly straight and rolled in a bun which is ironic since I bought it to keep my hair in tact when i wear it curly during the summer. Also the color is different than on the package. I personally prefer black, but it's misleading. All in all this is good if you have short or straight hair, but pretty useless for me =(

It remains on, it's comfortable! The reason I purchased this is that now that I am "graying," a polite way of saying aging, my hair is drier and when I wake in the mornings my hair is every which way including loose! Buying satin pillow cases is not an option...try to find them, then find them at a reasonable price. I've made some and they work wonderfully but I often forget to take them with me on trips. This bonnet comes with me when I travel and if I don't get all the wash done on time I can use it on a regular pillow case at home and it keeps my hair from "roughing up." Great little piece of mind. By the way, I'm Caucasian and my African American bud is ordering one as well since she tried it and it worked for her too!

I bought these "satin" bonnets because I needed "satan/silk" to shield my EDGES from breaking. Once it arrived, I was disappointed to learnthe rim/edges/band of the bonnet are not made of satan/silk. They are made of some type of elastic band material. This clearly defeats the purpose of why I bought them. I understand this elastic if needed so the bonnet will not slip off, but it causes me to suffer breakage around the edges.

I bought 3 packs of these for my 3 daughters ages 20-24. They are very pleased with them, no complaints, stays on over night, not too tight or too loose. Very satisfied customer.

It stays on for sure but it was a bit too small for my head so i improvised and cut a slit into the elastic to open it up. Fits very well now and is much more convenient than a scarf. It came in a pink color but I was expecting black but it's fine.

This is so comfortable to sleep in. I use a lot of product in my hair and it almost hurts my head to sleep without the cap, otherwise the hair kind of pulls at the temples and so on. You can usually get an extra day out of your "do" because of the cap. Terrific product!

Came quick, was kind of scared when unpackaging - looked quite small but it amazed me when it actually fit over thick nappy roots like mine lol only issue to date is that the dye runs all over pillow if ur using oils at night time like I do hence the 4 star rating
