Great submersible pump for aquaponics and hydroponics
Great little pump. Works well in my small aquaponics system. Just remove the filter to maintain flow and chop up fish waste for mineralization in media beds. This pump was "overkill" for my original project, but it ended up working out well as my system expanded. Since installing it in my aquaponics system, it has also been used in a hydroponic reservoir to deliver water to NFT channels and a Dutch "Bato" bucket system. This pump is coming up on a year of almost continuous use and is still pumping away. I will be buying a second one soon for a separate project. Be sure to measure your head hight and cross check the efficency on this pump with how much water you want to move at that measured height. Pros: curve chart (head and GPH) is accurate Long life with continuous use pretty quiet for its size powerful and great for the price Cons: cant think of any

Great little reliable pump good value for the price
i bought this as a stop-gap in December as the circuit to my pond shorted out when I was away and by the time I got back the regular pump was frozen in (this is December in Minnesota. I managed to make a hole in the ice, dropped this one in, and it pumped away for the rest of the winter keeping enough surface area open to prevent too much freezing and allow the fish to survive. it is not powerful enough o drive a pressure filter which I use during the summer months, but is a great little pump which has worked well and reliably for the times I have used it. Strongly recommended for a smaller pond and a great value for the price.

Decent little pump
This is a great little pump. I am using it to boost my canister filters output and it works perfect for that and really does a great job. Three concerns: 1). the locking face that holds the impeller assembly on the pump does not actually lock in place. It just turns a quarter turn but can easily be bumped/rotated and if enough could come off and I would have a major water disaster. Would be better if it locked in place with screws or clips or something to avoid this. Next time I take it apart to clean, I am going to modify the housing to allow me to insert a clip to prevent it from unintentionally rotating loose. 2). It leaked when I first set it up. I packed it back up and was going to return it but thought I'd give it one more attempt. The leak was coming past the o-ring for the impeller assembly. I noticed there was a sharp point where the plastic injection mold was formed together. I used 800 grit sandpaper and sanded the lip flat and super smooth. I then reassembled and it has been running with no leak ever since. 3). It is a bit noisier than I expected. The pump rattles quiet a bit (impeller rattling). At first I though it was cavitation causing the rattling since I am feeding it from the canister pump. However, I checked and am getting plenty of flow to the pump to avoid cavitation issues so am assuming it is just sloppy tolerances with the impeller assembly causing the issues. I probably could have avoided these concerns by paying 3x more for similar capacity mag drive pump, but these issues were pretty simple to address and am overall happy with the pump.

It won’t start on its own
Every time I shut it down to replace an external filter for my pond it will not restart. I have to open up the suction side and flip the impeller with my finger to start it. Then I have to reattach the front piece while it is running and put it back in the pond. It runs fine until the next filter replacement.

Durability and longevity
Very sturdy pump. Clears water well and has lasted for three years in my outdoor pond which can be categorized as small to medium.

this pump worked great. Instructions clear
I purchased this pump for my aquaponics system. I went with this pump rather than a cheaper pump in hopes that it would be more reliable and last longer than a cheap pump. I have a 1 IBC tote system and plan on expanding and including some NFT to grow lettuce. Out of the box, this pump worked great. Instructions clear, various fittings for your choice of connections. I am using flexible tubing which allows me greater flexibility and ease of removing and cleaning them pump routinely. It has suction cup on the bottom of it, so wherever I place it in the bottom of the tote, it stays put. Simple, straight forward, and powerful for my system.

great pump for aquarium sump system
this pump moves more water than I anticipated! I have it placed in our saltwater aquarium sump, connected with 3/4 in. hose, pumping up about 6ft. to top tank. I had the adjustable knob turn all the way closed and still had to install a ball valve to reduce some flow so it would not drain all the water out of the sump. very impressed with this little pump! I thought with a pumping height at 6ft it would reduce the water flow a lot more than it does. the pump operates very quite and comes with an assortment of hose size attachments which is another great feature. I will post an update if it does not hold up to saltwater, if I don't post an update then it is still going strong! so far I am very pleased with this product and would recommend especially if you have to pump up higher than most aquariums!

Buyer Beware
Update 6/29/25 changed to 5 stars Despite the issue with the fittings when I initially ordered this product it’s been great ever since. 8 years in leaving this pump inside the pond every winter (I live in northeast ohio) and it’s still going. I’ve done nothing maintenance wise except for hosing it off every summer. Very reliable. The pump came with the wrong fitting to attach a 1 inch hose. The fitting fits the hose but does not fit the pump. It's too large and does not thread into the inlet. I emailed the company and called multiple times (no answer). After some days they emailed me with a tracking number showing they shipped the "right" parts. I received a bag of fittings, the same one the pump came with. The new 1 inch adapter is also too big for the pump. Extremely disappointed.

Pumps water up to 2 meters, very powerful pump. However, be careful that it is always in water. There is no active cooling, so if you run out of water you might have a serious issue.

A good, solidly built little pump. Strong suction cups kept it right where I put it and when tested without a hose it sprayed me in the face with ease. Sadly, it simply doesn't have enough oomph to get the water where I need it to go. It's a good purchase if you're not looking to get water all the way across your house.

All was fine for about 3 weeks and now the pump works sporadically. I have it on a 15 min on/off timer and when it shuts off it comes back on but won’t blow water through unless I pick it up and let it suck air and then place it back back in the water. It’s frustrating and I’m having to leave it on 24/7. It was a little more pricey than most pumps but I’m disappointed and will be starting a return. I bought two of them and I’m hoping the other one will be okay, I’ve only had it running for about a week.
