Pinline Gentleman's Folding Pocket Knife

I own every Hoffman Richter ever made. They make two of the most elegant ones that you can find and this is one of them. The craftsmanship and design are five steps above the nearest competitor. I love the solid steal components. It makes for a heavier knife, but when you're talking about a sub 2.25" blade, that can't be noticed. The mechanism is tight, yet moves with a smooth precision that can barely be felt. Razor sharp out of the box and you have the best gentleman's knife that money can buy!!

I wanted something small and thin for casual day-off use. My work blade is just too big and bulky sometimes. With no pocket clip to bulk it up this one is small enough to dissapear in your pocket - even a back pocket. The small size makes it a little tricky to open and close one-handed but with a little practice, I got it down. You will need strong fingernails for the tiny liner lock! Build quality is actually better than I would expect from this price point. I'm not a fan of the hex screws since they tend to loosen over time. I'll just have to remember to tighten them periodically. Bottom line; it does what I want, looks great doing it and costs so little I won't care too much if it gets lost or broken.UPDATE: I had this for just over a year and a half, and it served me well. The blade didn't hold an edge very well and had to be sharpened a couple of times, but that's to be expected with a lower priced knife. I accidentally ran it through the wash once, and a couple of screws fell out and were lost - my fault for being careless. A better knife would have survived, but 19 months is pretty good for one at this price used heavily.

Nice knife, but very very small. I like Hoffman Richter knifes, high quality, sharp, but this thing (as I’m sure any knife this size would be) is almost useless.You will have to use two hands to open, and it’s so small and lightweight you’ll have to grip extra hard when using.Overall great product from a quality standpoint, just too small.

For a very small and light blade this is one of the best and sharpest small knives I have ever had, they come razor sharp right out of the box, seems to be made very well it has help up for months of heavy use.

This knife is a prime example of me making an assumption as to size. I loved the appearance of this knife in the ad, as it looks very similar to the Kershaw Leek at a fraction of the cost. When it arrived, I was disappointed by its TINY size. It is easily and inconspicuously carried in my pocket, but virtually useless for anything but the smallest cutting tasks. I would not recommend this knife unless you are looking for diminutive carry.

Knife is small, lightweight, easy to carry, very functional and well made.

Toy size knife and not well put together. Loose construction and loose integrity, makes it dangerous to have in your pocket.
