I've had a few pump pots like this before, and my biggest complaint has been that they don't keep the water very hot. This one keeps it scalding, which is great! The one thing I don't like is that if you open the top to add more water, quite a bit of water seems to be gathered in the top, and it all spills out on the counter top. This whether the contents are hot, or cold.

Sadly mine became rusted after one use. I was anal and dried it afterwards but I used it for shabbat and I speculate the water contact rusted it during the 25 hour use. I returned it. I gave it a 3 because it otherwise would had been nice to have. I wish they used thicker metal plating to avoid the pitting.

I love this machine! We use it every weekday to make fresh lemongrass and peppermint tea. It is easy to use and clean up. After boiling, the tea stays hot all day. This purchase was worth it.
