This shop light is light weight yet very durable. My work bench is 8'x3'. I thought I might need 2 of these lights. One light dose the job just fine. Plenty of light.

I'm using this light with a couple others just like it to add a significant amount of light to my garage. I'm using some light socket to outlet adapters so my switches still turn the lights on and off and it's been working great.

Very bright and easy to install

I purchased them especially for the adjustable colors of white and because they are linkable. My electrician hooked them together and but them on a switch so that I don't have to use the pull chains if I don't want to. I think them are very nice and were a good price at less than $30 each. The hardware is cheap Chinese junk. Broke three of the J hooks placing them into soft 2 x 4 pine!Had to make my on hooks to install the LED light. The LED light is very bright and so far is working well.The metal shell is very light weight. Had some minor damage during shipment however the bulbs were fine and worked. Since it is going into a small compressor shed. The small damaged portion is no big deal for me.

If you want a light for your shop, this one is great and provides day like conditions. If that is all you want it for stop reading this review here and make your purchase. If you want to grow veggies under it, keep reading. The lights are bright and seem true to 6500K which is great for seed starting. They do run hot, I have 3 of them mounted along with an old t8 fluorescent shop light in a covered shelving unit. The coverage is around 2x4 ft space and each lamp is touching one another linked via the pigtail connections. This allows for four full flats at a time. The temps directly under this many lights gets close to 90 degrees when I have the cover fully closed in my basement which is always 65 degrees. If planting lettuce and spinach, do not cover the shelving unit, and run a fan if you are going to use multiple lights. This will help keep the temps around 70-75 degrees or even lower. You will need to experiement with the temp/venting situation that is best for your plants. I run mine around 80-85 every day for my spring veggies. So far peppers, tomatoes, marigolds, brocoli, squash, cauliflour, and watermelon have all been successfully produced. In the pictures you can see the lamps mounted behind the old t8 lamp. They are much brighter than any fluorescent light I have owned on the market.
