Q: Is there supposed to be a power light? Looks like the clear piece of plastic in between the power button and the min/max buttons should be a light

Yes, mine lights up between the two large buttons when powered on. I have noticed that I can not tell the difference between the regular and max steam settings...the button lights up but does not show a difference in settings so it's hard to know. Besides that I like the machine
