I ordered this extremely spicy jerky for for a "hard to buy for friend" who likes anything hot. It was the perfect gift. I even bought it again for a white elephant gift and it was a hit. Several people wanted the jerky & the person that ended up with it said it was "great" & a great though as for something "different ". I myself...it was way to spicy for me & had my eyes watering immediately but if you have friends & family that like hot spicy snacks this was perfect & something new to throw into tradition! I wi definitely be buying more!

This is by the far the best jerky I have ever eaten in my entire life. I consider myself a beef jerky expert as I have a lifelong obsession with jerky from a very young age. I have ordered online from all kinds of companies, I have tried every single brand that convenience/grocery stores sell, (literally every brand out there) and have stopped many many times at roadside jerky stands for homemade jerky. I even make my own jerky, I have a professional 10 tray dehydrator and FoodSaver sealer and have been making jerky for several years, I've literally dehydrated almost 200 lbs of beef myself in 5-10 lbs batch increments. NOTHING compares to what Katie's Beef Jerky brings to the competition!! I was absolutely blown away from first bite!! I though I had tried everything and was still searching for the perfect jerky. Then I found Katie's.Recently I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and can no longer have any gluten or wheat containing products so I randomly searched gluten free jerky, the heavens opened up and shined down on my Amazon search and led me to Katie's Premium Beef Jerky. Not only is everything gluten free (read their disclaimer, everything they touch is gluten free and celiac friendly) which is vital to my health but I about cried when I took my first bite of the Seriously Spicy jerky. It was pure magic! I purchased the super spicy package because I love spicy jerky and gradually (with in 5 minutes) sampled each flavor in succession of heat level. Each package intensified with the heat level but did not sacrifice ANY flavor. Perfect balance of heat, meat, and seasoning. I have never been so impressed with beef jerky. The final package was the XXX Scorpion which was seriously hot even for an expert like myself but perfectly flavored, I love most that literally the spot on my tongue and cheek where I chewed had felt like a pinpoint scorpion sting that burned but made my mouth water and crave more, I was now obsessed. I ate the entire 6 package variety pack in less than 48 hours. Katie's Beef Jerky is an absolute goldmine for any jerky lover and I am ordering more today. Do yourself a favor and injustice: buy any flavor of Katie's and you will find jerky perfection, but you will never be able to eat another brand of jerky ever again. I loved the initial flavour. It was hot but I personally didn't think it was 2.2 mil. But I bought this as a fun challenge for family and friends. My neice cried. She's 22 and Latin said she could handle it. Apparently not. A couple buddies at work decided they wanted to try it. One couldn't talk for about 20 min. The other kept blowing up the office if you get my meaning. Definitely something I've enjoyed. Of and the 3rd buddy at work had bubbles exploding from his nose. I couldn't stop laughing. Have fun with this. And consumers use at your own risk hahah. Try some Carolina reaper and scorpion pepper blend. I'd love to try it.Your jerky was perfect as far as texture and moistness goes. Perfectly made.

I want to give this more stars because the taste is amazing. I just think that the package is too small for the price. Needs more Jerky in it

I LOVE spicey food, so I had to try Katies XXX Scorpion jerky. Pros: This stuff is hot! I'm leaving a 5 star review because it is delicious and just as hot as I was hoping it would be, and I really like super spicey food! Cons: For how much it costs, you really don't get much jerky. This may last a while for folks who can't handle the heat, but for me it was pretty much gone in a day.

This is the 3rd "HOT" jerky I've bought on Amazon and the first that's actually as hot as it claims to be. The 7 pot douglah jerky has a nice creeping burn that if you don't watch it, will stack up on you, so don't eat too big of pieces if you are being cautious. The flavor is very much a traditional "real" jerky: smoky, salty soy sauce taste, not really sweet(which is good IMO). It's a traditional dry jerky too, which I very much prefer to the soft steak-bites style jerky that so many places make today. Overall I'd say 9/10 for heat it's hot enough to feel like a burning ember in your stomach if you eat it too fast. Totally recommend 5/5 stars. Expensive but worth it, it's actually hot. Also great if you are drinking tequila and want something spicy to eat with it.

Oh My goodness, the 7 Pot Primo and the Scorpion XXX were AMAZING! Spicy as expected, but the the quality of the meat that was used is absolutely delicious. I got 3 really well portioned pieces of 5* quality meat. It was not deathly seasoned but had a nice coating on each piece. And it was fresh. I had purchased from others on Amazon before and this just blew them away to the wind.When I received my package it was well sealed with no issues to the packaging itself. And each pack of jerky is well labeled so there is definitely no confusion as to what is inside. The picture on the buy page is as it is when it arrives.When I opened them to give them a try, the aroma itself spoke more than I could write here in the review. Clean, crisp, and fresh ingredient smells just permeated from the bags.I refrigerated mine so I was able to rip smaller pieces off to enjoy them longer. And the chill helps with the heat so as to being able to just take your time to chewing it. And to me, they both had a nice essence of sweetness in the aftertaste.I will definitely be buying from this company in the near future and there after. In my opinion it was well worth every penny!
