Not 2.5 inches
The carabiners were less than 2 inches on their longest axis, so not acceptable for my purposes. Since this is my first experience with steel carabiners, I cannot compare these with others. To me the hinge pin seemed rather sharp. When the snap is closed, the hook side and notch side do not align as smoothly as I would like.
