Not the best but good for the price
I'm not going to lie, my expectations weren't too high with this one. I'm not satisfied but also not dissatisfied. The kit comes with a lens cap, a UV filter, a CPL, an ND4, a case for all the filters, and a lens hood. Right off the bat, disregard the UV filter, UV filters don't do jack, it's really just for protection. The lens cap actually fits very nicely so I was impressed by that. The ND4 is decent nothing crazy. The CPL I do care about it because I shoot photos of cars, and honestly, for the price you're paying, it's not bad at all but I wouldn't be too crazy about it. I still get a good amount of reflection and glare, but definitely less than without. And none of the filters sacrifice the photo quality either. Now here's my issue. The lens hood is honestly a problem. If you have the lens hood on, you can't have a filter on. On top of that, the lens hood is visible in the pictures from 18mm-30mm, on a cropped body mind you, so bear that in mind if you're buying the kit for the lens hood. Overall, solid kit for a beginner, you won't go wrong, but nothing to be impressed about either.

This`is a deal
The further you get into Digital Photography the more you realize there a lot of compromises required. If you aspire to professional status, you soon realize missing "The Shot" is not an option. Any shot is a set of compromises between aperture, shutter speed, lighting, time to set composition.... and so on. Lets talk about compromises in equipment. The 58 MM Professional Accessory Kit for Canon EOS Rebel is basic. There is Cheap, Inexpensive, Premium, and Overpriced. This Kit is in the Inexpensive category. Digital Goja's addition of a tulip flower lens hood, safety cap and magic fiber cloth makes the package an exceptional buy at under $20.So...what are the compromises?· All seem to involve the limitations of the Canon 18-55 MM lens. If you add any screw filter and or hood to the front, it will almost always appear as shooting through a tunnel. Of all the 58 mm tulip flower lenses I have tried, on this lens, this one has the least intrusion. In fact I had to work on getting it to appear. If you turn the hood orientation to a 45° angle. Depending on the focus distance it will appear at 18 mm. I prefer to shoot through a Circular Polarizer with the hood stacked on. Adding anything to the end of the barrel will compromise the wide-angle function.· The Tulip hood is made from flexible plastic. The good news, the hood has the potential to protect lens and lens threads from damage. The bad news, the hood threads are soft and can be easily cross threaded. Since I always use the hood in combination with the CPF, the threading problem is not an issue. Mate the two for life. The circular pivoting function of the Polarizer is an added bonus for positioning the petals in just the right angle. Any combination of Polarizer twist and tulip angle is possible.· Vivitar Lenses are a known quantity. Enough said. But for the price of a UV filter alone you get two essentials.· The lens cap lanyard and cloth are like prizes in your box of cereal. The lanyard may come lose from the cap. I can never have enough lens caps. A way of attaching it to the lens is priceless. My mother, who kept track of my gloves, would agree. No Compromise with Digital Goja! The only way Digital Goja could improve performance would be to ship before I order. Unfortunately, Walter is not clairvoyant. There interest in customer satisfaction is refreshing.

Nice little set for the money, not without its flaws
This is a nice little starter accessory set, but it isn't without flaws.1. The filter optics seem to be manufactured well enough for this price range, but I found the screw threads to be very easy to tighten down way too far on my Canon SL1, making the filter difficult to remove. I fear it would be easy to inadvertently tighten one down and not be able to remove it. Based on other reviews, this problem doesn't seem unique to me. Be careful when attaching or removing.2. The tulip hood suffers from the same threading problem - I'm sometimes afraid I won't be able to remove it. It's also not adjustable - it's attached just like a filter and changes position as the lens focus and/or zoom change. At some zoom settings, the flare tip is visible. This may or may not be a problem for you; if it is perhaps look into something like this:Â Canon Lens Hood .3. I like the carrying case for the filters; easy and simple and protects them.4. Another lens cleaning cloth. Oh joy. All the others in my lens cleaning cloth colony will have to make room for a newcomer.5. The lens cap seems good as a spare but the original Canon cap is made better. People who don't like advertising the manufacturer's name will like it. The cap keeper string is what it is (I find them annoying).Otherwise, a nice starter kit. The seller (who seems to have a good reputation) included a note promising to take care of any defects or problems, which was a nice touch. If I had paid $150. instead of $15. I'd be unhappy, but these have no pretensions of being high end. Sometimes good enough is good enough.

Good for the money
Nice little package with three 58mm filters, lens cap and flare hood. Designed for a compact camera (Canon G12). I acquired the extender separately. I bought it for one specific use - to attach a polarizing filter and for that it worked perfectly. And it looks sharp too. I have a collection of other cameras with differing filter diameters so the other filters will be useful. There is some vignetting at the widest angle setting because of the length of the separate extender but that's easy to crop out. You can avoid this by shortening the extender but the extended zoom will bump into the filter when zoomed out - best to leave it alone.

Good filters and case, lens hood is not compatible with the rest of the bundle
I bought this set over another brand because this one included a lens hood. It turns out the lens hood won't really work with this set.Really I got this kit for the 3 filters and the carrying case, and I'm very satisfied with those. The filters seem to be well constructed and decent quality for the incredible price. I'm really impressed with the quality of the CPL (circular polarization) filter and I have no idea why a previous reviewer thought it didn't work as everyone else seems to be satisfied with it.However, the bundled lens hood is not appropriate with these lenses, as it doesn't have the front threading for mounting filters (or even the lens cap!). You can mount the lens hood OVER the UV or FLD filters, because they have front threads, but that's inconvenient if you're shooting outdoors with the hood and you want to change or add a filter. The included lens cap can be 'pinched' into the lens hood but because the front of the hood is not threaded, any shift will just pop the lens cap out. The CPL filter does not have front threads (and because it turns you wouldn't want a hood mounted to it) so there is no option for using this CPL filter with the lens hood provided.Overall it's still a great deal but I now need to shop for a new lens hood with front threads.

Talk about a bargain!
I'm still scratching my head as to I got all this stuff for so cheap. When I looked in camera stores, the cost of just ONE filter was way above what I paid for everything I got in this whole order! And what a classy outfit the seller, Goja, is. Included with the order was a little note inviting me to contact them personally via an email address they supplied, with an opinion of my purchase and the promptness of its delivery. Unfortunately, I had to inform them that the Polarizing filter in the set of three had a manufacturing flaw in it (no fault of Goja's, rather it was the fault of the filters' manufacturer). Not only was the Goja rep. most apologetic about the faulty filter, he was super-prompt in firing off another filter to me in the mail to replace the faulty one. I got the replacement even before I'd had a need to use any of the filters! Now these are guys that I'm going to be very pleased to give future business to, if I have the need for additional equipment. Seems to me you can't go wrong in choosing them for your photography needs.
