Its interesting reading the different ways to deliver a message and how it can be interpreted by the recipient, however some of the comments that are described as being "encouraging" come across as being outright sarcastic.More than likely due to this being created by an American author it doesn't translate across the pond.Update:I have had another flick through this book, and its crap. I don't have much positive to say about it. Its just list upon list of phrases but with no explanation behind each phrase. Its also painfully American. Returned item for refund.

A bit repetitive in its text, but good collection of phrases that a person can refer to or prepare for before doing important conversations.

As human resources professional I can't recommend this book. Leaders should be inspiring.... there is no room for vague sarcasm when giving an employee feedback. Some of these phrases would probably land a manager in trouble and make the situation far worse than what it is.
