Q: What's the actual cutting length of the wire?

The useable length of the wire is 4 1/2 inches. That is supported by the body of the cutter. The wire extends beyond the body by about another 1 1/2 inches, but I have never tried to use that during cuuting.

Q: We cannot figure out how to charge the wire. Where is the screw on the handle?

The one I purchased fell apart and I had a difficult time putting the wire bacck on.
